In the spirit of Halloween, Luz had convinced Hunter to have a horror movie night with her. Reluctantly he had agreed to this, due to prior experiences with the horror genre. He didn't feel very confident in watching it. As the chances were he'd find it too scary, and be unable to finish it. Luz assured him that it would be fine, but if the film got too much, she'd turn it off. She was so kind about it, surely he could just tough it out and get the film over with.

As it began it didn't look like it would get too gorey and scary. As it was just a bunch of people conversing, honestly kind of boring. This explained by Luz meant that the main plot point had not shown up yet, something was going to trigger a chain of events.

The two just chatted as the boring scenes played. But as soon as something shifted the plot, Luz adverted both their attention back to the TV screen.

Their eyes were greeted with gore, and their ears were greeted with screaming. It caused Hunter to jump, all he wanted to do in the moment was cover his ears and look away from the screen.

Luz looked over at the other, who sat there clearly spooked. Now feeling a tang of guilt, she paused the film. "We can stop now if you'd like. There are less gruesome Halloween flicks, we can watch those instead."

"I'm sure it'll, um, be fine. It just began, we can watch more" he spoke, not meaning what he said. He just didn't want to upset the other. She seemed so passionate about this movie.

"...if you say so," Luz said, continuing the movie. The scenes from that point on were all quite scary. So much gore, violence, and unexpected jumpscares.

Hunter looked everywhere but the TV, and had his ears covered throughout most of the film. On the other hand, Luz was enamored with it, too focused on what was happening to notice the state Hunter was in.

He remained silent until the movie was nearing its end. The focus was no longer on the humans and instead on terrifying mutated animals. That paired with the eeriest music imaginable was Hunter's breaking point for the film.

Even though he was now getting Luz's attention, it wasn't by verbal communication. He grabbed her arm, a little more rough than he wanted. Although Luz was unphased by the pressure, and just turned to the other. She noticed his demeanor and settled on two things. The first thing was that she should've stopped the film when she first noticed, and the second was that Hunter was regressed.

He must have slipped earlier on. She mentally cursed herself for not realizing it until this very moment. "Oh shoot bubba, im so sorry. I don't know what to do to make it up to you, is there anything you want me to do?"

He shook his head 'no,' but then paused momentarily. He looked at his mentally older sister and held his arms out for a hug. While regressed he was much more open to physical affection, and often instigated it. "Of course lil guy" Luz soothingly responded, accepting the hug. This hug lasted a while, making Luz realize that Hunter was shaking.

"S'okay.. you didn know i was gonna be tiny. Neither did i" he eventually said, causing Luz to ruffle his hair in return. Smiles materialized on both of their faces. After some time the hug broke. Luz had broken it to ask a question.

"We can watch a new movie now? A non-terrifying Halloween movie."

Hunter placed a hand on his chin, pretending to think. However, it was obvious that not much thought was put into his response. "Yeah, but no' spooky, kay?"

"I promise there'll be nothing scary. You've got my word" Luz said, holding her hand out to show her authenticity.

"Can you get my gear?" he asked, looking down at the floor now. Asking the question embarrassed him even though Luz would never be bothered by it.

"Sure bud, I'll be back right away. It'll only take a moment."

He nodded, and while he waited his thumb wandered into his mouth. He began chewing on it. Luz got back in the timespan she had told him and playfully rolled her eyes once she saw his thumb. "I've got your paci right here, hermano" she chuckled. But before handing him his gear, she grabbed a tiny sanitizer and placed some onto his hand.

She too did this and demonstrated how long to rub the product in. After both of their hands were clean, Luz gave Hunter his gear.

The first item was of course the pacifier. It was a mint green, with a dark blue ball of yarn deco. Willow had customized it and gifted it to him. Next was a fox plush, specifically a white fox. Luz was going to hand more, but Hunter shook his head. "Movie now? Wanna watch sumthin!" he pouted, crossing his arms.

"Oh sure thing bubba, what do you want to watch?"

"Dunno, don' know many olloween movies" he stated, looking at Luz to choose something.

"We can watch Monster High. I don't quite know if they even qualify as Halloween movies, but they're monsters. How about it?"

"Oh yeah das good. Let's watch one of em" he cheered, taking the paws of the fox and making them clap too.

Luz found it adorable, "aw'ing" at him. "Okay then, let's start with the first one," she said, turning it on. As it began to play she tried to tell Hunter that it would be such a fun watch. But he was seemingly already invested as his response was to motion her to shush.

"Quiet Luz, movie 's startin!"
