Camilla knew that Luz hadn't regressed in a while and was a bit worried for her daughter. Luz usually used it as a coping mechanism, and her repressing it was very worrisome for Camilla.

She was now even more fearful because she had to go to work. So, if Luz regressed while she was away, she wouldn't know. But she eventually decided to call Edalyn if the witch wasn't busy.

The phone rang for a while, so Camilla contemplated staying home for the day. However, Eda did pick up before Camilla could go through with the plan.

"Hello? Mrs. Noceda, is this you?" Eda asked, curiously. She was quite frankly the only person that called Eda, but even the Boiling Isles couldn't keep away from scam calls.

"Yeah, it is me, I was wondering if you could do something for me? And by extension Luz" Camilla asked.

"Um sure, what do you want me to do?" Eda responded back, holding the phone closer to her ear to follow the instructions.

"Well, I just want you to watch over Luz, she'll definitely appreciate seeing you. But... what she might like less, can you coax her into regressing? She's been suppressing it, and I fear it may be taking a toll on her."

"Sure thing, though this might be difficult. So, if she still ends up not regressed, I'd like to apologize now" Eda said, sounding surprisingly sincere.

"No worries, I just want someone to keep an eye over her. But thank you, it's very appreciated" Camilla smiled, saying her goodbyes. She hung the phone up and grabbed her purse.

With that she went outside, to wait for Edalyn to show up. Luz was already awake, likely drawing or indulging in one of her other interests. As a result of not having any classes today.

The wait outside wasn't that long, but the weather outside was quite cold. Thankfully Camilla wore a coat, so the cold temperature wasn't at an extreme. She stared at the portal door until Eda came through it, and finally she did.

Eda came through, albeit clumsily. She brushed it off like it didn't happen and almost immediately made eye contact with Camilla. She ran over, to give the other women a hug.

"Well hello to you too" Camilla chuckled. "But I must be off now! All though please do lock the door after I leave... bye" Camilla said, quickly. After their short reunion she got into her car and drove to work.

Now Eda was left at the Noceda household, unsure of what to do next. She decided to reveal herself to Luz, who would hopefully be excited to see her mother figure from another realm.

She walked up towards Luz's door and knocked on it a few times. Luz opened it to be greeted with the presence of the owl lady. Immediately a big grin spread onto her face as she practically threw herself on Eda, squeezing her tightly.

"Seems like someone missed me, eh?" Eda chuckled, ruffling the younger girls hair.

"Of course, I did! How is King, haven't seen that goober for a few days."

"He's good, causing havoc per usual. So... I am here for a while, what do you want to do?"

"Hm I dunno, but why are you here?" Luz asked, realizing that there wasn't really a reason for her sudden turn up.

"Camilla wanted me to watch over you, that's all. Want to watch TV?"

"Oh? Huh, I would think she'd consult me on that first but all right... sounds fun!"

Eda decided on what channel to watch, despite facing difficulties with the remote. She didn't know which buttons to press, but after trial and error she landed on a show. It was a cartoon, targeted towards younger audiences.

"Eda, this doesn't seem like something you'd watch?" Luz stated, with a furrowed brow.

"Well kid, I didn't pick it for me to watch. Thought you might like it, hm?" she chuckled, ruffling the others hair.

Luz stared at her, why on Earth would she have wanted to watch this? Maybe if she was regressed... oh, was Eda trying to get her to regress?

"Hey! I don't need to be small" she argued with the witch, frowning.

"You sure about that, c'mon just give it a shot. Plus, you're the one who brought it up."

"..." Luz remained silent, crossing her arms with a slight pout on her face. In her head she convinced herself she wasn't going to regress, but her inner monologue was inaccurate. Because she did pan her attention back to the cartoon, and she did start to regress.

Eda had chosen to get off of the couch at some point but returned shortly after. She had with her some of Luz's little gear.

"Kiddo, do you want any of this?" Eda asked, holding out a stuffed animal. Luz thought for a moment, before shaking her head.

"Told you m'not small!" she fussed, glaring at Eda. Eda lightheartedly rolled her eyes, still holding out the stuffie for Luz to take.

"Fine! But only 'cause you wan me to have it... hmph" she pouted more, taking the item and holding it.

"There ya go, lil one" Eda smiled, taking back her spot on the sofa. She had a pacifier for Luz to use as well, but she didn't want to upset the little any further.

So, she would wait for Luz to ask for it. She was already clearly regressed based off of her speech patterns and other mannerisms. She just needed Luz to be in a better mood. Which was fine, Eda only needed to wait. For how long? She didn't have an answer to that.

Luz held the stuffed animal, it being a snake. Camilla bought it for Luz, because it reminded her of Stringbean. And when she made that connection, she knew Luz would love it.

She focused intensely on the TV, unaware that her thumb snuck its way near her mouth. She began to chew on it, which Eda duly noted.

She tapped Luz on the shoulder, who turned her attention to the owl lady.

"Mm?" she hummed, looking at Eda.

"Kiddo you know how icky that is, how about this instead?" Eda offered, handing the little her pacifier.

On one hand Luz wanted to argue against it, but on the other hand she did want it. So instead of fussing even more, she just took it. "Thank chu, Eda."

"No problem, kiddo" Eda said, softly.

Luz finally wore an expression that wasn't grumpy, instead a smile rested on her face. Wier head on Eda's shoulder. She yawned, and closed her eyes. Eda's presence and the cartoon background noise both caused her to drift off to sleep. A nap was probably good for her.

Eda thought it would be best to not wake the little, and gave her time to rest. A proud smile grew onto her face, as she thought to herself. "Camilla's going to think im awesome!"
