we excited the elevator and went to my room I scanned my key but it wouldn't work. so I knocked.
the door opened to reveal Charles "oh" I say "hey y/n" he smiles and moves out of the way "I am in the right room right?" I laugh as lando walks in behind me "yea Kates just in the shower" he says. "well thank you for letting me in my key um it wasnt working" I say throwing it down on the nightstand. "you guys got plans tonight?" lando ask "we dont but she just said she was going to jump in the shower." he says sitting on Kates bed. lando sat down on mine and I walked to the bathroom and opened it shutting it quickly behind me.
Kate peeked out the shower curtain and screamed "AHH SHIT" she says I bust out laughing "shh" I say "man go away" she laughs returning to her shower. "you could've told me!" I say "oops" "im glad you hid all of my stuff though thank you" "of course" "so what are you guys doing tonight?" "I have no clue but they're like this event happening tonight where you can go release lantern and I thought it would be cute we should all go" "isn't that romantic?" "could be? could just be friends" she says peeking out of the curtain "im down let me ask lando though" I say "thank youuuu" she says as I shut the bathroom door. both the guys look at me "what?" "nothing" Charles says "sooo Kate had this idea where we go to this event tonight where you let lanterns go if you would like to go" I ask looking at lando. I see him look at Charles then back up at me because I was standing in front of him "would love to although I do need to go shower I probably smell bad" he says standing up "me too we can meet you guys back here in a hour?" Charles ask "sounds good" I nod as they walk out the door and I shut it behind them.
Kate peeks her head out of the bathroom as she was wrapped in a towel "did you kick them out?!" "no they said they wanted to go get ready and so do I so hurry up" I say ask I scoot Kate out of the way "because I probably smell like sweat" she moves away from me "yea I agree" I give her a shocked look as I shut the bathroom door and started the shower.

I pull on my black top and black shorts and slide on my shoes as there was a knock on the door I look at Kate "do I look okay?" I panic "yes do I look okay?" she ask she had on a white tank top with blue jean shorts. "yes perfect" I say.
I spray some perfume on myself quickly and grab my phone as Kate answers the door. I join behind her as she walks out. lando looks at me "you look beautiful" he says kissing my cheek. I feel my face head up. "thank you" I say as we walk to the elevator to head down to the lobby.

I hop out of the car and we walk to this big gated event area where there was music and food and a bunch of people walking around
we join in on the fun and grab some food and enjoy ourselves as the night went on and it got darker out.
we had gotten our lanterns lando and I was sharing one and Kate and Charles.
we were just standing around when I was messing with my hands "you've got a tattoo?" he ask seeing a small tattoo on my wrist "I do just a little small one" I say showing him "just 11?" he ask looking at the number 11 tattoo. "yea it was my dad's race number so it means a lot to me" "aww thats sweet do you have anymore?" "I do have one behind my ear its a sunflower its my favorite" he brushes the hair away from my ear to see the tattoo then he looks at me in the eyes. with his hand still on my cheek I get lost in his pretty blue eyes.
he brushes his thumb on my cheek back and forth just looking at me when I looked down he removed his hand.
then we saw everyone lighting there lanterns so we did too. Kate and Charles were beside of us but at a distance. lando stood close behind me as I let the lantern go. he wrapped his arms around me from behind as we watched it float up with the others in silence.
it was actually really nice I be close to someone. I havent had a relationship since 5 years ago.
I smile "it's so pretty" I say looking at the sky "not as pretty as you" he whispers in my ear
I smile to myself and turn around to look up at lando. "what?" he smiles at me shyly "nothing" I smile and kiss his cheek.

we made it back to the hotel and went up to Kate and I's room. Kate said bye to Charles and went in the room "so this is it huh? ive had a really good time with you" lando looks down at his feet. "ive had a good time with you too lan. dont forget about me" "I could never" he says wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into a hug "so if I dont see you tomorrow because its going to be hectic please have a safe trip home" he say "I will and good luck tomorrow" I look up at him with our lips inches apart. "is there any chance you would be at the Miami race?" he ask randomly pulling away "I think we will be actually" I say on the spot. "then we definitely should get together again" "ill be looking forward to it" I say and open the hotel door. "goodnight lando" I say and kiss his cheek. he looks at my eyes then my lips. "goodnight" he says and walks away. I shut the door and press my back against it. Kate looks at me and smirks "hes dangerous" I say and start to change into shorts and a t-shirt to sleep in.
I lay down in bed and we cut the lights out "I might've told lando we would be at the Miami race" I say "I mean we will be so thats not really a problem" she laughs "yea I know I just wanted to let you know" "you like himmmm" she giggles "do not" "do to" she says and dont say anything else
so I roll over and fall asleep for the big day tomorrow.
