I got up this morning not in the best mood. its Friday practice day. I didnt get any sleep at all once Kate and I finally got back to the hotel the night consisted of tossing and turning and staring at the ceiling which is not a good way to start out the race weekend.
I looked through my suitcase and grabbed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt I pulled on my shoes and walked to the bathroom where brush my hair and teeth then I grabbed my phone and opened my hotel door to see Kate and her parents
"I-" "you didnt answer your phone" Kate says I look at my phone and its dead "I guess I didnt plug up my phone" I say showing them "are you alright dear?" Melissa ask I shake my head no as I shut my door. "not really I havent slept" I say as I follow them to the elevator and we get in "then are you sure you wanna go today" Micheal ask. Kates dad. I give him a funny look "yea I do ill be okay"
we exit the elevator and out of the hotel to the car and to the track.

I scanned my card and walked through with them behind me and I rushed to the Red Bull garage.
I walk in and see Horner and the engineers talking. max sees me "y/n" "yes?" I ask as I walk over to max who was staring at his phone "why do you look like shit" he says "oh wow max thanks." "im sorry look I didnt mean it" "yea you did" I laugh "no are you okay really?" "Im alright I didnt sleep but im ready for the day so it's all okay" I say as my stomach rumbles.
everyones attention goes to Kate and her parents when she walks in. "who are-" max ask as we walk over to them "max this is my dad Micheal and this is Melissa his fiancé" Kate smiles. her dad shakes max hand "nice to meet you im a fan" max just smiles as Horner walks over and shakes there Hand aswell.
"y/n" my engineer calls me over to start going over what the weekends going to look like.

I sat down in my driver room and plugged my phone into my charger.
I dig through my suitcase and change into my suit and grab my helmet and hood and walk my way back to the red bull garage it was practice 1 time.
I sat down in the seat and pulled on my helmet as they pushed me out of the garage and I followed behind max.
the whole time I was driving. my mind was somewhere else I ended up letting Charles, Max, lando, Oscar, and pierre pass me "l/n what are you doing?" my engineer ask. "im trying to focus" "is something wrong with the car?" "no no its all me" I sigh

It was the end of the day I ended up getting p7 in practice 1 and p5 in practice 2 which isn't good.
I walk into my driver room with my head down. I changed back into what I had on and then grabbed my charged phone that I haven't checked all day.
I see a text from lando
Lando🧡- good morning
Lando🧡- everything ok?
Lando🧡- now im a bit worried
I smiled at my phone and replied
me- hey sorry I didnt plug up my phone last night on accident and ive been busy all day I didnt mean worry you
I sit down and scroll through my camera roll and decide to post a picture from yesterday on my personal account

I put my phone away and walk out of my driver room. I walk to the Red Bull garage "y/n"Horner says calling me over. I walk over "is everything okay with you? you don't seem like yourself today" "yea I'm okay im just tired" "I can tell go and get some rest ill see you In the morning" "but I thought-" "I said go get some rest I need you in better shape then this" he says "Okay thank you" I say "oh and Kate told me to tell you that she went to see someone and her parents walked out a little while ago" he says. "thank you" I say and walk out of the garage and walk over to the mclaren garage. I walk in and see Bryn standing behind lando and he was talking to his engineers. he had headphones on and was looking at the screens. I slowly walk in. I see Oscar he smiles at me and I walk over to him he opens his arms for me and side hugs me. I lean into him as he rubs his Hand on my arm "you alright?" he ask he was still in his race suit and it was rested at his waist. he lets go of me "I'm alright just Really tired I didn't sleep last night" "and I'm sure being out in the sun today has worn you out too you should probably go get some rest" he smiles at me
"yea I'm about to head home because the days over and stuff there's nothing else to watch I was just coming to see-" "lando" he says I nod my head as turn to look at him. Bryn Was still standing close behind him I look at Oscar and roll my eyes and he chuckles.
Bryn walks away and lando quickly takes his headset off and turns around he sees me and smiles immediately walking over to Oscar and I. he reaches his arms out and wraps them around me tightly "how long you been here?" he whispers in my ear "just a few minutes oscars been keeping me company." I say he pulls away and looks at me his hands still resting on my waist "you alright?" he ask concerned "yea why does everyone keep asking that?" "you look tired" he says "I am I didn't sleep last night I haven't in a while but its okay" "I'm sorry" "its okay don't be I just want to see you before I head out" "well thank you for coming to see me. go get some rest" he says and then wraps his arms around my neck and pulls me in for another hug. I breathe in his scent and then before I know he pulls away.
I start to walk out and turn around to wave at Oscar and lando who were talking. when I bumped into Bryn. I look at her and walk past without even saying anything it's not worth it.
I walk towards the Ferrari garage to hopefully find Kate.
I walk in and see Kate sitting there while Carlos and Charles were talking. Kate looks mad I walk over and sit beside her "you ready to go?" I ask she gives me a Look "what?" "bitch walked in here a couple of minutes ago and was all over everyone and like I know he isn't mine so I cant be acting any type of way but still" "I feel that she was all over lando and then she walked out sooo I guess she came over here" I say. "yea im ready though" she says before getting up and we walk out without even saying anything
we walk to the car and I get in the driver seat "Kate im so tired" "then go get some sleep" "I am hopefully" "wait- we have dinner tonight with my dad and Melissa" "alright I guess I will sleep after that then"
The backseat opens up and Melissa and Micheal get in
