we grabbed out suitcases off the belt and walked our way towards the exit of the airport.
standing there waiting for us is Kates dad and Melissa.
she hugs her dad and then Melissa. then her dad smiles at me and hugs me "congratulations" he says "thank you" I smile and then Melissa opens her arms for me I hug her too.
Kates dad grabs one of the many bags that we had as we walk out of the airport and to the car. it was midnight because a 15 hour flight.
we put everything in the car and headed home.

I put my luggage in my room along with my backpack and walked out to talk to Kates dad and Melissa. Kate was in her room too when I joined them in the living room. "I guess we will let you guys get a good nights sleep we will talk to you in the morning I'll be cooking breakfast" Melissa smiles "alright sounds good" Kate says.
they give us one last hug before leaving.
Kate and I live together in my house that I grew up in. on a big piece of land we have a pool and it's gated.
directly across the road is where Kate grew up. thats where her dad and Melissa live.
its actually Nice because we have our own place and they have theres but we'll go over there for dinner occasionally or they'll come over here.
Melissa is Kates dad's fiance she's been around a long time. we love her we approve of course they just haven't got married yet.
I go to my room after locking the door of the house. I start unpacking and putting everything in the dirty clothes to wash I put my bag away knowing I'll need it soon anyways.
when my phone went off
lando- hey
me- hey I figured you were never going to talk to me after last night
lando- why would you think that?
me- because it was embarressing
lando- its okay. what you up to?
me- unpacking what about you?
lando- just got off the plane
I put my gear up in my dads room where it goes. I haven't touched his stuff.
all his race stuff is still in here so its where I put mine. I put the helmet on the shelf with my others.
I take my clothes and go to the washing machine but Kate had beat me to it "im so tired" she says "me too" I say laying my basket down. "I feel really bad because your never home with your dad" I say "its okay he dont need me anymore he has Melissa and im happy for that because I get to experience life with you like we've always dreamed since we were little kids" she says walking into the kitchen. I follow close behind her and hop on the counter as she checks the fridge "I dont know why you always check that like we have food we're never home" I laugh. "yea I know but Maybe im hoping that the one time I open it something might spawn or something I dont know" she laughs "little us would be so proud right now" "I know when we were little we always said wed become f1 drivers or you would and you'd take me with you" she says "and you always said you would fall in love with one and marry one" I laugh at her "yea shut up I was 12" she laughs "no because you always said you'd marry one too" she adds we bust out laughing "we were 12" I laugh "I cant believe we've made it this far" she says "me either" I say hoping off the counter and walking to my room I sit down on the bed and scroll on social media to see people guessing at who I could possibly be like always and the random photos I get tagged in and edits and stuff like always.
Kate comes in and lays down on my bed I give her a funny look "im the one that told lando the other night where we were." she admits "what?!" "he had called me and asked if you were alright and asked where we were so I told him" she says picking at her fingers smiling
I shove her "you get on my nerves" I laugh and she falls off the bed laughing "you know you love me. but I was concerned okay. it wasn't you and I knew what was going on" she says sitting up "he was in an important business dinner or something" "obviously not more important than you y/n l/n" she stands up and begins walking out of my room "ah I just had to get that off my chest I feel better now. goodnight love you" she says walking out and across the house to her room. " goodnight" I laugh getting off the bed and going into my bathroom to take a quick shower before heading to bed.
