Chapter 4

"That's rude! Even if you have an eight-pack abs, hindi kita papatulan, Sir. I'm not as perverted as you are!" my defense immediately retreated.

Para siyang tanga sa lakas ng tawa niya. It was like the whole subdivision could hear it. Even the horse yelped because of his laughter.

Dahil sa tawa niya ay hindi ko mapigilang mapatitig sa kaniya. Napagtanto ko na mas bagay pala sa kaniya ang tumawa at hindi iyong paliging seryoso at nakabusangot.

"Ghad! I can't believe you made me laugh like this," he said, still laughing as his hand touched his stomach or should I say abs.

He's a real adonis every time he laughs. His smiles and laugh are very beautiful. His pinkish lips are visible.

"Shit! I can't believe you have a green mind!" he commented with laughter.

Because of what he said, my eyes widened. Napagtanto ko na iba pala ang nais niyang iparating. Sa pagkakataon na ito, I found out how overthinking and green-minded I am. I don't know what to do because of embarrassment.

"Stop laughing, it's annoying," I said angrily to cover up from being embarrassed at saka sinuntok siya sa dibdib. Pero parang mali ang ginawa kong pagsuntok sa kaniya. Dahil imbes na siya ang masaktan, ako ang nasaktan. Ang tigas ba naman kasi ng dibdib niya, dinaig pa ang bato.

"S-stop," he said still trying to hold his laughter, "I know you want my abs, pero huwah mong idiin. Baka magsisi ka kapag sa damuhan ang bagsak natin," he said and winked at me.

I was stunned and backed away when I realized what he said and what it really meant.

"Pervert!" I shouted.

Dahil sa hiya ay mabilis akong tumakbo. Habang papalayo ay rinig ko pa ang tawa niya kaya mas lalo kong binilisan ang takbo ko. I didn't stop running until I got out of the ranch.

In the distance, I saw my groupmates. They're obviously in a panic dahil pabalik-balik ang paglalakad nila. When Jessica saw me, she seemed relieved and greeted me with less panic.

"Omg, Alliah! Okay, ka lang?" Jessica asked in a panic while examining my body.

Sumenyas ako na okay lang. Then, we went to their place earlier. While catching my breath, I stopped where Alvin, Marvin, Leo, and Jessica stood earlier. I sat on the grass while catching my breath.

"Sinong may tubig diyan? Leo, Marvin at Alvin, baka may tubig kayo?" Jessica asked and fanned me using her hand.

Alvin nervously took a bottle of water from his bag. Narinig ko pa ang pagmura niya dahil sa pagkataranta. Mabilis na inabot ni Alvin ang tumbler at inabot kay Jessica. Inabot naman sa'kin ni Jessica kaya mabilis ko itong kinuha at nilagok, hindi na alintana kung pagmamay-ari man ni Alvin.

"Alliah, are you really okay? Marvin told me na ang rancho na pinasukan natin kanina ay hindi sa kanila at kay Professor Dela Fuente raw! I can't believe this! I'm sorry if I ran first," remorse and concern, she said.

They're all looking at me like they pity me.

I just smile and nod. I handed her the mineral water and she passed it to Marvin.

"Okay lang. Kasalanan ko rin naman, i. Good thing nothing happened to me. Look at me, I'm still alive," I said jokingly kahit pa medyo nanginginig.

I fanned myself to reduce the heat. Pinagpapawisan pa rin ako dahil sa pagtakbo kanina. Hindi ko naman ma-blame si Jessica dahil kasalanan ko rin naman. At kasalanan din ng mangga. Kung hindi dahil sa mangga, edi safe kami kanina..

"Thank, god! Buti naman at hindi ka nakita ni Professor Dela Fuente! Halata pa namang mainit ang dugo niya sa'yo dahil panay ang pagtatanong niya sa'yo tuwing papasok siya sa klase," Jessica commented in panic.

I stopped because of what she said.

"Kung alam mo lang Jessica."

Yeah! Sana hindi na lang kami nagkita kanina! What happened earlier was really embarrassing. I trespassed on my professor's property and even ran away from him because of embarrassment.

I didn't speak. I was uncomfortable because of how Marvin stared at me.

"You didn't meet him, right?" Marvin asked seriously when he noticed my silence. Hawak-hawak niya ang papel habang sinusuri ang bawat sulok ng mata ko.

I looked away and exhaled exhaustedly. "I did. We met," I answered briefly.

Napanganga silang tatlo. Dahil sa inakto nila ay hindi ko mapigilan na magtaka.

What's their problem?

He's just our professor. He's just intimidating because of his sturdy and serious look, pero kapag makilala mo na, parang hindi naman. He even laughed earlier. Siguro strikto lang talaga si Professor Dela Fuente kapag hindi mo pa masyadong kilala.

"Shit! You met Professor Dela Fuente? He saw you?" he asked hysterically.

Shock is visible on their faces. I can tell that they're afraid and I don't really know why. I can't tell if they're just exaggerating or they're just really afraid.

"Yes, pero huwag na kayong mag-alala dahil hindi naman niya ako pinagalitan," I answered and showed my smile for them to be relieved.

I thought they would feel relieved by what I've said but their expression didn't change. Their faces became more serious.

"Shit, edi mas lalo pala kaming mag-alala sa'yo," saad ni Jessica na hindi ko masyadong narinig.

"O, god!" Alvin's jaw dropped.

They're all acting weird. Parang sila pa ang na-stress kahit ako naman ang nahuli.

"Bakit ba?" I asked in confusion.

I am freaking new so I don't know who Dela Fuente is.

"He's Pollux Dela Fuente, Alliah," Alvin answered in a serious tone.

"And so?" I asked. Confusion is visible on my face.

They looked at me in disbelief. Napahilamos na lamang si Jessica at napahilot sa sentido.

"You should distance yourself from him," puna pa ni Alvin.

I don't get their point. How could I distance myself from Professor Dela Fuente when he's our professor? If I distance myself from him, then, they should do the same, right?

"How? He's our professor, guys. Come on, don't scare me," kinakabahan mo pangg tanong.

"He's dangerous, Alliah. Just stay away from him before it's too late," he said, making me curious about Pollux.
