The ride back was spent in silence, everyone too consumed by their own thoughts to actually let any words come out.

Yelena herself felt her brain fall victim to thoughts of the person locked away in the back. The clarity of the space provided her the perfect time to think about their actions of the evening. She still couldn't form images of the fight they had while she was dealing with Lexa, but could only imagine it was intense by the wounds they were all nursing.

Her mind continued the events until she found herself replaying his moment of freedom. She noted that once the dust cleared their vision he didn't make any moves to keep attacking. At first she thought he had stopped fighting in realization that he had lost, or maybe when he realized he was fighting the wrong enemy. Or like he told her, he stopped fighting because simply, he wanted to die.

She found herself shaking her head, almost as if to physically clear the thoughts. Of course it didn't work, it never worked. Yelena could count on maybe one hand the amount of people she cared enough lived or died, so why why was she upset at the fact that this stranger wanted to be killed? Why did she want to change his mind?

She turned her head to Sonya, "How far out?" Finding it actually necessary to physically pull herself from her mind.
"12 minutes, босс." Sonya responded.

"What are we doing with our new guest?" Kate added.
"Nothing for the night. He's obviously not in the mood to talk and I can't imagine any of us are in the mood to argue. He'll go in one of the cells Melina made us and then we're all going to bed." Yelena left no room for disagreement in her tone and they all gave her a nod.

"Do we know our long term plans with them? What happens when they've answered all our questions?" Yelena found herself intrigued at how Lexa seemed to ask the question she knew Clarke was thinking.
"Right now, I don't know. One step at a time is all you can do when you're walking in the dark." Yelena responded and hoped she sounded more like the leader she hadn't felt like since opening that file.

She sent Sonya and Kate to take him to the cell, because she still felt weird about being in the same space. After they returned she sent everyone to their rooms for the night leaving the debrief for the morning.

Yelena woke up head pounding, body heavy, and everything fuzzy. She wanted nothing more than to crawl back into bed rather than go lead a group of people. She longed for it much like a child might long for their favorite stuffie, and for this she felt embarrassed.

She had barely slept thinking of Lexa's question and what today's interrogation may bring, but that didn't make her any closer to a plan. She got dressed quickly hoping one of her teammates had thought of an approach.

Once they were all settled around the table Yelena chose to just be honest, "I do not have much of a plan other than just asking them questions. I know this isn't what you guys want to hear and you expect me to have answers but I don't this time."
"Yelena we can't expect you to have all the answers when the only information we have has been guesses and redacted paperwork. You're team hasn't left you for a reason." Offered suprisingly by Clarke.

Yelena felt the tightness in her chest ease slightly and her body become less heavy. She hadn't known she needed words like that until she felt the blanket like comfort they provided. She gave Clarke a nod, hoping she understood the appreciation.

"Probably shouldn't start with me, just because we spent some time together doesn't mean anything. We were both subjugated the whole time, I dont know anything about this version." Lexa started the conversation.

"Well then who do we send in first if he has no connection with any of us." Kate offered.

Clarke took a deep breath, "If Lexa is correct than that's not true, he may know me. If he even remembers. And if he does, I don't know if I'll be able to stay focused enough. But I'm also the one the pulled the gun, so I doubt he'd open up to me." Everyone was curious, but they all knew if it provided relevant information than Clarke would have already told them their shared history.
