Chapter 7

LILITH'S POV

I wasn't hurt badly I just had a bruise on my forehead. They dismissed me but Emily had to stay for a little. I called coach to inform him about what happened. To conclude it he went nuts and he's now on his way to the hospital.

I knew it wasn't a good day for school and look where we ended up. Jenny had a pretty bad fever and I assured her that we were fine and there was no need for her to come at the hospital.

I was staying on my phone when I got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?" I said

"Hello, is this Lilith Anderson" the woman said on the other side of the line.

"Yeah this is her, is everything okay" I asked starting to get worried, who was this person?

"I work in the school library and I'm calling to inform you that you left your MacBook here since Monday, It has been three days I've emailed you but I haven't gotten an answer. We usually throw away the things that were left here but I kept this in one of the drawers do you want to take it or?"

How stupid could I be I left my laptop there for three days oh my god.

"Yeah of course I will take it, I'll come by tomorrow" I said.

"No if you want it you have to come right now because I can't keep it anymore I was ordered to throw this out.

"Yeah but I'm like in a hospital right now"

"This isn't my call to make are you coming or not?" She asked again.

I had to much work in that to just let it go.

"Okay fine I'll be there in 20" i said hanging up.

It was already 4:30pm meaning that it was already pitch dark outside. Ugh November I groaned to myself as I got up.

I called a cab. It didn't take long for it to be there. By the time I got to school it was 5:05 pm and the rain was pouring again. I payed him said goodbye and ran inside the school finding my way to the library.

After getting the laptop I thanked her and left the library.

I pulled my phone to call a cab again, I thought that today couldn't get worse until I saw that my phone was dead.

"You're Joe king" I said out loud. "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO"

After thinking for about thirty minutes if I should run it not I decided to make a run for it which was stupid because my house is 30 minutes away, by car.

"If I get to the hospital myself I'll ask coach to give me a ride home" I thought to myself.

So I made a run for it. I had been running for five minutes and I was already tired my laptop was on my school bag which I put under my shirt.

I thought it would be a good idea to stop under a tree so I could regain some stamina.

I was about to leave when my eye caught a pitch black Range Rover approaching me. The problem was that the windows were pitch black and I couldn't see who was inside.

"Am I about to get kidnapped" I thought to myself. But who the heck kidnaps people in an expensive Rover.

I was about to run for my life when the window went down. And guess who was inside. If you guessed Alexis Wilson you're right.

This was top five most embarrassing moments of my entire life.

"Anderson?" Her voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
