Chapter 16

ALEXIS'S POV

There she was, the blonde that I've been thinking about these last months. She was angrily playing again.

Is she still mad at me? I laughed to myself.
I made my way towards coach when he was ending practice.

"Good job guys. This week practice going to be rough. We have one of the hardest games this week" He said as the girls gathered to do their little cheer at the end.

I  made my way into the office and sat down on my chair trying to close out on some papers when I heard a knock.

"Come in" I said loudly.

"Sorry to bother" Said Lilith with a smile.

"You're no bother get in" I said closing my folder and looking at her. "Everything okay?" I asked.

"So uh, do you have time to drop me wt my house, I might've told Emily that I already had a ride and it's either you or a taxi" She  said with her head down.

Since when did she become so shy?

"I got you, don't worry about it. Go get dressed while I clean up here and we'll go." I said.

"Yep thank you" She said with her head up now, but her eyes weren't meeting mine.

She turned around to leave but I called her.

"Lilith?"

She turned around now looking at me.

"Yeah?" She said.

"Is everything okay?" I asked as I got up from my chair.

It took her some seconds to answer but she finally did.

"Yeah" She said giving me a weak fake smile.

"Are you sure Lilith?" I asked again.

"Yepp" She nodded turning around "See you in a bit."

"See you" I said back.

Something was definitely wrong but I knew better than to press her about it right after a rough practice.

After quickly finishing up with the office I said goodbye for the day and made my way to the parking lot. Lilith was already at the car waiting with her phone on her hands.

"Hello" I said as I made my way to the drivers seat.

I unlocked the car and she got in.

"So, how was your day today?" I asked after I turned on the car.

"It was fine." She answered shortly.

Did I make her uncomfortable this morning, Is it why she isnt talking to me?

"How were your classes?" I asked once again.

"They were alright." She paused. "Mrs Smith kicked me out of class today."  She said like it was nothing.

"What? Why?" I looked over around her, confused.

"Eyes on the road." She said finally smiling for real. "Because I was texting Emily."

"Why would u text Emily in the middle of the class?" I asked confused.

"Hey don't blame me she never kicked other students for using the phone." She said, her face going back as it was a couple of minutes ago. Cold.

"Yeah but you still shouldn't use your phone during class" I said once again.

"Yep" She answered.
