1.Ash's Story (Part 2: Johto)

Chapter 25

When we are about to enter the gate to Route 47, there is a man who stops us and says, "Did you know? There's a Safari Zone just around the corner. It's really fun! You will see many different kinds of Pokemon, and it's all you can catch! There's no reason not to go, right? Just around the corner. It won't take too long. Why don't you drop by? Won't you? All right! It's just over there. Go up the stairs, and you'll be outside. Then it's only a few paces away!"

We ignore the person and head to Route 47. We notice the sea below the cliff and Lillie says, "This sure looks dangerous..."

"I know..." Ethan says.

While we were moving, we met Team Rocket and they tried to steal our Pokemon once more. But while we're trying to battle their robot, I almost fall off the cliff, it is then Pineco evolves and saves me from the fall and then use Explosion to send Team Rocket Flying.

Forretress: The Bagworm Pokemon: Bug and Steel Type. Evolve from Pineco at LV:31. It remains immovably rooted to its tree. It scatters pieces of its hard shell to drive its enemies away.

"Well, now it will be more vulnerable to Fire-type attacks..." Ash sighs. "I mean, adding a Steel Type is not that bad, but it just has to be careful of Fire Type attacks.

"I know what you mean." Lillie says.

While we're taking a break, Bayleef and I stumble upon a windmill building, after we get inside, we are trapped and we have to find the control room to unlock the door. We are ambushed by Magnemites and Electrodes, but thanks to Bayleef, we manage to escape them.

When we arrive at the control room, we find an Electabuzz there. Team Rocket is also there, and they trap both Bayleef and Electabuzz in the cage. And thanks to the electrician found by Lillie and the others, we escape the building.

I try to save Bayleef with my own power, but I can only struggle against them. Bayleef doesn't want me to get hurt anymore and she starts to evolve into Meganium. Then she breaks the cage and uses Solar Beam to blast them off.

Meganium: The Herb Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Bayleef at LV:32. Anyone who stands beside it becomes refreshed, just as if they were relaxing in a sunny forest.

After meeting with the others, Kris also trains her Bayleef into a Meganium in the end.

After leaving Route 47, we are now in Cliff Cave. "If you see a fork in the road inside a cave, most likely one way is right and the other leads to a dead end. But people can't help trying both." A man says once we get into the Cliff Cave, and we go downstairs first, we don't see anything down in the river, so we climb upstairs, and we are now at the Safari Zone gate after Route 48.

"So this is the new Safari Zone...it looks quite interesting." Lillie says.

"I know, but I don't think I need to capture some Pokemon here in Safari Zone, what about you, guys?"

"Nah. But it will be good to learn what it is inside." Reisa says.

"Yeah, it might be cool to check out this place." When we get into the place, we find Baoba again and they greet him. He says, "Hi, I have been waiting for you! What do you think? This is a brand-new Safari Zone. By the way... I just had an idea. Would you like to take the Owner Aptitude Test?"

"Owner Aptitude Test? What is that?" Kris asks.

"Let me explain how the test works. It's very easy. All you have to do is to catch one Geodude at the Safari and show it to me. They are on the grass closest to the entrance. It shouldn't take long before you catch one. Good luck!"

As we use the Safari Balls to capture a Geodude for Baoba, he says, "Oh, wonderful! You've caught a Geodude! You've passed the first test.

"First test? There are more?" Alice asks.
