The Gomez Family would join the LaRusso's Family Barbecue everytime they had it.

Daniel invited them over because his mother Lucille was going over. Kathleen has always known her since she was young. Sometimes when Sam would sleepover at her grandmothers she would convince Kat's parents to go over with her.

Lucille has always considered Kathleen as her granddaughter, she's never treated her any differently from Sam. She loves her just as much.

Once the Gomez family including Kim, once she got home from New York, arrived to the LaRusso home the kids sat down on the couches and Diego and Kim were already outside trying to help Daniel set up while he was upstairs getting ready.

"Gosh those video games are so ruthless." Sam told both Anthony and Alex .

"You just don't know anything about this, Sam." Anthony responded back to his sister.

Kathleen was scrolling through her camera roll seeing all the pictures she took with her boyfriend, Miguel.

She couldn't comprehend that Miguel was her boyfriend. She never imagined dating him, or anyone in general.

But she was happy.

"Oh my god. Did I tell you?" Sam beamed at the girl sitting beside her.

"No. What? What happened?" Kathleen eagerly asked, wanting to know.

"Zack asked me out." Sam happily almost bouncing on the couch told Kathleen .

"Oh my god. Really?" Kathleen squealed excitedly for her friend. "Now we both have boyfriends."

The doorbell chimes and Anthony gets up already knowing it's his grandma and opens the door. Lucille hugged both her grandchild's first then moved to the Gomez kids.

"Kathleen, Alex. God, I've missed you guys." She hugged both Kat and Alex. "Kathleen, look at how gorgeous you are."

Daniel walked downstairs and everyone moved outside for the barbecue. Both Kathleen and Sam were both sitting beside each other listening into the adults conversation.

"You know, it's bad enough that this monster is teaching kids. Now he's somehow convinced the All Valley Board to let Cobra Kai back in the tournament." Daniel rambled on about Kat's boyfriend's dojo. Kathleen tried so hard not to roll her eyes.

"Oh, that's horrible. They can't let them back." Lucille commented. "Oh, they're nothing but a bunch of bullies."

"They can't all be bullies, right?" Sam asked her grandmother, knowing both her and her best friend are dating Cobra Kai's.

"Trust me, sweetheart, you don't know the half of it. Those Cobra jerks made my little boy's life miserable." This time Lucille rambled. "Tell them how they pushed you down that hill."
