The next morning Kathleen got ready to go over to Sam's house. She told her that her parents plus Anthony and Alex were all heading to the Country Club and she was throwing a pool party.
Kathleen put her bathing suit under a large t-shirt, she didn't think she needed shorts cause her shirt was already super long. If she did need some she'll just take one from Sam.
She walked downstairs to the kitchen to prepare some coffee and made French toast for herself. She learned how to cook for her little brother since basically she did take care of him. She's always had, ever since she was 8 years old.

"Sam! Where are you?!" Kathleen shouted throughout the house.
"Out here!"
Kathleen walked out to the back where the pool was. She saw Sam trying to set up for the party.
Sam was one of Kathleen's best friends. They've known each other since they were 5 years olds when they were in kindergarten. Sam was to herself, no one wanted to talk to her or play with her. That's when Kathleen came over, she shared her snacks with her and they started talking about their likings. Sam liked to learn Karate from her "Grandfather" she said it was complicated. Kathleen told her she loved to draw/ paint. Ever since that day they have been inseparable. They were always at each other's houses and their parents would never leave the other alone whenever they went someplace. That friendship went down to their little brothers. Anthony and Alex have developed their own sister's traits as well, they want to do everything together.
Kathleen walked over to her. "Need any help?"
"Can you just set the floats and the noodles by the pool? I want this to go as smoothly as possible." Sam said, stressing over everything.
"Look I know your parents are at the Club but are you sure they're okay with this? I mean, is your dad okay with this?" Kathleen loves Sam but sometimes she would go around her parents and do whatever she wanted.
"They won't be home till later. We can still have fun. Plus Kyler's coming over." Sam was blushing!!
"No way you find him cute. He's literally so immature. You know I saw him trying to beat up some poor dude who wouldn't stop talking. I mean I get it, he doesn't shut up but he was walking out of a movie theater so he had a lot to say and-"
Sam interrupted Kathleen, "Okay Kat I get it. But he's so nice to me. I really like him."
"Okay, okay I get it. He's "different"." Kathleen said using air quotations. "But you also have to remember he is the school bully. He may be different with you but there's people in school who he bullies."
"Okay but you also bully people. You talk about them all the time."
"Okay I do but I don't physically hit them because they're weird. I just say, what I want out loud." Kathleen argued back.
