I took in a deep breath as I stood at the bottom of a small hill. It's finally happening. I knew it would take a while, and I was patient, but I thought this day would never come.
I held the flowers tightly in my hand as I walked up the hill to take in my surroundings. I could see nothing but a field of colorful flowers of all kinds stretching far beyond the horizon. They gently moved with the wind as it blew around me, ruffling my hair and soft white dress. I shut my eyes once more and began dancing with the wind.
A smile graced my lips as I danced. This is the best feeling I've ever experienced. It always looked so fun in the Visions, and now I can see why.
Chirps of excitement sounded around me as Elementals began to join me. I leaped and twirled and flew with them as the wind pushed us along. This is the best day of my life.
"Kyrene," the Elementals scattered as they heard a voice call to me.
I turned and spotted Crae in his suit. His soft, warm smile nearly turned me into a puddle as he held his hand out that wasn't holding my staff. "I know you want to continue dancing here, but we have a long journey ahead of us."
I paced over to him and grabbed my staff. "I can't wait for you to show me all of Fucrya. I'm excited to see new things. And then,"
I looked to the sky and shielded my eyes. "I can't wait to explore Earth."
"Are you sure about going back?" He asked, worry in his voice. "You're much stronger now, but we don't know how it will effect you once you've spent some time there."
I took his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "If anything happens, we can always bounce back over here. It's not like we'll be stuck there for the rest of our days."
He relaxed slightly. "You're right. You know how to take care of yourself. I shouldn't worry."
"So," he turned us around and gestured to the world. "Where do we start?"
I faced a direction and listened to the earth beneath our feet. It sang to me, beckoning me to walk this earth and never stop. My heart swelled with joy as the dirt beneath my feet rejoiced at feeling the touch of an Orelie once more. "This way. We'll keep going this way until we find a town or a city, then turn right. Our map will be the earth and the stars. We go until the Elementals pull us along to play, then we pick a new path. Once we have reached the end, we do the same with Earth. We listen, we wait, we explore. Anything is possible, and I want to experience it all. Every moment, every day."
"Perfect." We took our first steps to our long journey together, hand in hand, and adventure in our hearts.
