"okay wooyoung, i've had enough. what the fuck has been bothering you for the past few days?" san huffs in annoyance.
ever since he studied at mingi's on monday, wooyoung could not get yunho off of his mind. why was he like that? who did that to him? and why did he come running to mingi? the younger male's thoughts were affecting his external behavior he zoned out more than usual, and his friends had started to pick up on his suppressed appetite. he had just previously yelled at yeosang for a minuscule remark the older made; which is what caused his boyfriend to confront him.
"nothing is wrong, so get off my ass!" wooyoung retorted, quickly clenching his fists which dangled by his hips.
"bullshit woo. we can all see that something happened between now and when school was dismissed yesterday. what is going on?" seonghwa had joined in, which only caused the younger to scoff.
"oh! okay. i'll tell you since you're curious hwa. i went to mingi's last night for our project, and about an hour in his neighbor came over half fucking dead. wanna guess who his neighbor is?" wooyoung spat sarcastically, he knew all of them had known about how close mingi and yunho lived.
everyone's faces had dropped, the only emotions left present in their eyes being confusion and concern.
"oh? what's this? i thought you all hated him? you seem so sullen now, hwa. maybe you should keep that energy and go fucking apologize to him while you're at it." with one last glare, wooyoung stomped through the halls of the school, deciding to head to his class 10 minutes earlier than his usual. the group of 5 stayed shocked in their spots, wondering what their friend's random outburst was really about. how long was he holding that in? was the question that plagued each of their minds.
the rest of them remained speechless until hongjoong spoke up. "what do you think woo meant... you know, about yunho?"
"i'm not entirely sure, but it sounded like yunho was really hurt? would it be wrong for us to check on him?" jongho pondered whilst taking his remaining book from his locker.
"there's no way you seriously think yunho would entertain any of us, even for a second, especially if the situation does happen to be serious,"
"yeah, hwa is right. maybe we could speak to mingi about it? speaking of, where is he? i haven't seen him this whole day..."
hongjoong scoffed lightly at yeosang's words, "well, he's probably still upset with us— i'm sure he won't be around us for at least a few days."
the rest of the group agreed with hongjoong's statement, they continued to speak about yunho until they eventually dispersed to their different classes.
mingi kept a close eye on yunho throughout their classes— he was worried about him. do his wounds still hurt? is he in pain? what if he gets sick? does he need to go home? were just a few thoughts that invaded the younger's mind within the past 8 hours.
he and yunho were now walking to their homes as they had been doing almost every afternoon after they met, something was different this time though. there was an incredibly thick cloud of tension between the two now, with both of them about to burst from the awkward silence. yunho assumed mingi had been uncomfortable with the words he muttered last night— even though mingi had said the same ones first, he couldn't help but overthink and worry.
mingi, on the other hand, was contemplating whether or not he should ask yunho to come home with him. anyone in his situation would be terrified to let the taller go back to his parents. he just wasn't sure how to present the question without seeming pushy— he didn't want to put any type of pressure on yunho.
"mingi? what is on your mind, min? you've been distracted this whole time and we've almost reached our street." yunho spoke softly as he loosely latched onto the latter's side in an attempt to show his concern.
