Yesterday mighty have been the best day of my life. It feels like something out of a movie. I'm extremely excited about our future dates together. So since yesterday was a long day I'm actually not going to work today and I also I woke up extremely late at 10:45 a.m. to be exact. I can still do some work from home anyway so, no biggie.
I get up from bed and do my morning routine,dress up after that I eat breakfast.

Just because I'm at home it doesn't mean that I should look unappealing. This outfit makes me feel like a baddie.😂😜 So last night I was talking to Amanda over the phone and I told her that I went on a date with Luis. She said that she's coming over so that I can tell her everything that happened. As I wait for her I clean the house,as I'm cleaning up the kitchen counter I get a text message from Luis and I instantly start blushing.

Aww he is so cute. I finish cleaning up and I start watching cooking videos because I want to add more things to menu. I want the menu to be diverse. Amanda then sends me a text message saying that she's outside. I get off the couch and I open the door for her.
"Girl, how are you?" She asked.
"I'm okay and you?" I asked.
"I'm not okay because you didn't tell me how the date went," she pointed out disappointingly.
(Disappointingly is such a long word and it sounds so made up)
I just laughed.
"I said that I'd tell you," I said.
"Then tell me," she said frustrated.
I tell her everything from my dad coming over to Luis coming over to him asking me out and lastly to him asking me to be his girlfriend.
"Shut the front door,"she said excitedly.
"Yeah I'm happy too," I said.
"Ooh I hear wedding bells," she said.
"Don't be so dramatic,"I said rolling my eyes.
"He's good for you way better than–" she said but I cut her off.
"We're not talking about him," I said.
"Girl you need closure you need to get him of your chest and you need to tell me what happened," she said.
I exhaled. I try to talk about it but then I bursted into tears. Amanda gave me a hug and I cried out bitterly. We broke the hug and I explain to her the full story. I even gave her coffee because she'll need it.
So before Luis I had a boyfriend about 3 years ago. He's name was Asher, he was tall,dark and had heterochromia one eye was brown and the other was blue. He was everything that you could want in a man. He was loving, understanding, patient, loyal, respectful and handsome. Or so I thought.
I always told him that I want to save myself for marriage. He however was not the biggest fan of weddings but he respected my decision. When my restaurant started thriving he started changing. He would get angry and yell at me over the littlest things. He then "apologized" and took me out on a date in the park.
There was a man with his son looking at me then I smiled at the son. Asher was livid,our date was cut short and he aggressively pulled me in his car. He drove to his house and he did something I never expected. He didn't insult me. He didn't yell at me.
He didn't beat me. He did something much worse. He ripped off my outfit then he raped me. I got pregnant and I wanted to keep the baby but I ended up having a miscarriage. I'm still fertile though.
Asher had some run ins with gangs and he was eventually killed. Only my dad knows this story. My mom hated Asher from day one she just had a bad feeling about him but I didn't listen. I thought I could change him. I was too naive and blinded by "love."
Amanda was shook she said nothing and for the first time in my life her silence meant so much. She just hugged me again and told me that it's in the past. I love my bestie. We both said our goodbyes and she went home. I got in bed sent Luis a good night text then I went to sleep.
