Loid anxiously taps his foot on the spotless flooring as he flits between the door and the clock, his small worry evident behind his composed demeanor.

Looking to his right, he watched Anya enthusiastically consume the 'anniversary' cake that he and Yor had purchased on their way home.

"Anya, did Olivia let you know she would be coming home late today?"

Anya, who was too engrossed in the delicious cake, only offered a shrug in response, causing Loid to sigh.

"Loid-san, don't worry!" His focus now on Yor as she prepares some tea for him. "Olivia is a brilliant girl; I know she will be okay. She must have very good reason for staying at school until so late."

Before taking a drink of the hot beverage, Loid hummed and ran a finger over his hair.

"Meow."

Having just woken up, Snooze entered the living area. With a perplexed expression on his face.

Loid observed as the snowy cats' keen eyes surveyed the area before focusing on the clock. "Meow?"

Loid, a little taken aback nearly chokes on his tea. 'No way! Does he know Olivia is running late? How perceptive!' Snooze continually strikes at his food bowl while glaring at him, shattering his thoughts in an instant. 'Ah. dinner time.' Snooze gave him a hearty purr of approval and dove into his bowl.

As Loid had his attention on the cat, the front door to the apartment slowly swung open. He turned around faster than he'd like to admit to face the door.

"I'm home!" Yor quickly follows after Anya as she swiftly puts down her dessert to hug her sister. "Via, welcome home." Olivia welcomed Anya's embrace and hoisted her sister up onto her hip while letting her bag lay on the ground.

"Hey, Anie. Oh!" A smirk appeared on her face as she whirled to face her parents. "It seems that the lovebirds made up! Good job."

Loid rolled his eyes as Yor let out a forced laugh. "I told you we never fighting in the first place. In any case, you got home very late today. Was everything okay?"

Olivia turned her gaze away from him and Loid caught the tiny raise of her voice right away.

"Ah, no, no. Darius and I were just talking about, our relationship! A-As friends! W-with our friends! Yes, and the upcoming special exam! That's upcoming!"

Olivia winced at her word choice. 'Ah-I said upcoming twice. I'm sure he won't notice.'

Loid noticed.

"That's the case? What does this test have to do with?" This, in Olivia's opinion, was the perfect way to change the topic. She began to recount the specifics of the test that had been delivered to them this morning after setting Anya down. And as expected, Loid was pleasantly surprised. "First and second grade become imperial scholars!?"
