As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the bustling Ostanian streets, Olivia felt her nerves fraying with every passing second.
'For the love of god Anie.'
She had been searching tirelessly for her sister, her heart pounding with worry and frustration. The encounter with Alexander had left her on edge, her senses heightened and her patience worn thin. "What was with him anyway..?"
Returning to her mother's side, Olivia found no solace in their mutual inability to locate Anya. Panic clawed at her chest as they exchanged worried glances, their shared fear palpable in the air.
'She's not here. She's nowhere in the venue...Could it be... that she was eaten by a dog?!' Yor thought in a panicked state, her eyes flickering every which way.
"We need to split up again," Yor said, her voice strained with concern.
Nodding in agreement, Olivia followed her mother's lead, her mind racing with anxious thoughts. But as they moved apart, a sudden commotion pierced the tense air, drawing their attention like a magnet.
Shouts echoed from a nearby alley, and without hesitation, Yor and Olivia went in opposite directions, each driven by the urgency of the situation. Olivia slipped into the shadows of the alley, her heart hammering in her chest as she cautiously peered around the corner.
What she saw made her blood run cold.
'What is he doing here?'
Alexander stood amidst a group of shady-looking men, their faces obscured by darkness as they exchanged hushed words. Olivia strained to listen, her pulse quickening as she caught snippets of their conversation.
"...attack and kill them..."
'What.?'
The words hit her like a sledgehammer, sending shockwaves of fear through her body. Her father Twilight and whoever the former minister of Westalis were in danger, and she was the only one who knew.
'Actually, knowing Anya. She probably knows somehow too. Please don't get involved Anya.'
Acting on instinct, Olivia darted out from her hiding place, her mind a whirlwind of fear and determination. She had to warn them. Somebody. She had to stop whatever was about to happen.
But before she could take another step, strong hands closed around her arms, pulling her back with surprising force.
"Shit!" She struggled against her captors, her heart pounding in her ears as panic threatened to overwhelm her.
It was then that she felt a familiar presence at her side. "What in the-?"Alvira, her best friend, stumbled into her path, their eyes meeting in a silent exchange. "Via!? What?" Without a word, Olivia linked their arms and ran, their footsteps echoing off the narrow walls of the alley as they raced toward the looming threat.
