You go into the beginning of the day feeling a little better about Aizawa after he promised to try and get a hold of Rai, your handler, and request for you to move to basic classes, support or business courses if they absolutely insisted on keeping you in UA.
The feeling of hope helps you feel less angry at Uraraka for tattling on you, offering her a small smile when she walks into the classroom, her look of worry upon seeing you sat alone in the room completely dissipating thanks to the small gesture and she beams back at you in return.
The rest of the class seem a lot less gossipy too, the majority of them looking relieved to see you, and none of them whispering that you could hear.

Midoriya, in what you assumed was his usual way, came straight up to you, asking where you had gone, if you were okay and telling you that if you ever needed anything he would be there for you.
If any of the other boys had approached you saying the same, you'd have assumed that they were just being superficial and attempting to hit on you, but with Midoriya, it seems genuine. He seems genuine.
So you decide to maybe try to make an effort with him and Uraraka, at the very least.

Your desk mate even gruffly asked if you're okay, addressing you with a 'oi' instead of an 'excuse me', or even by your false name.
You nodded, earning a grunt from him before he turned his attention back to Aizawa without another word to you.
You suppose he seems alright too, even if he had surrounded himself with the highest walls known to man. You had done the same when your parents had died, you definitely weren't the same person you had been before the accident had happened. So the walls he had put up were definitely something you could understand.

Things go alright until lunch, Aizawa giving you a little nod of acknowledgement, something you assumed was in reference to his earlier promise as Midoriya and Uraraka pull you towards the cafeteria for lunch, refusing to let you spend it alone today.

You meet their friend Iida, who you briefly paid attention to in class. He had some kind of speed quirk, and seemed like a total buzzkill. He seemed to take everything so seriously and followed all the rules to the point of yelling at other students in the halls for running when they weren't supposed to, which was relatively embarrassing for you.
The half and half haired kid with a scar, Todoroki, joined you for lunch too. The others seemed to enjoy his company even though he did nothing but eat his cold noodles and stare blankly at whoever's talking at the time. He occasionally offered his own bland input, and it seemed as though he struggled understanding that not everything was meant in a literal sense, but the others were pretty unphased and patient with him about it.
You also half get to know Tsu, the frog quirk girl you'd accidentally stared at on your first day. She seemed pretty nice too, she was straightforward, something you could appreciate, even if she spent the first five minutes of talking to you essentially telling you off for making them all worry. You could tell she was doing it because she meant it, because she didn't sugarcoat anything, even to the point of telling Todoroki that the way he ate his noodles was gross.

Reluctantly, you do find yourself having fun.

You even forget yourself, rolling up your sleeves to cool down at one point before catching yourself and pulling them straight back down before anyone else can see it. Todoroki catches your eyes and quirks an eyebrow, but luckily doesn't say anything, whether it be out of genuinely knowing not to, or the quick glare you give him.
The whole time of being present with them, giving the odd hand motion or nod or shake of your head here and there, you're thinking about what Aizawa was doing, and whether he had been successful in getting your classes changed.

Eventually, he appears in your line of sight, leaning against the entrance of the canteen with his arms crossed.
When you turn your head to look over at him directly, he waves you over lazily, his facial expression not giving anything away.
You bow your head, silently excusing yourself from the others, grabbing your bag and making your way towards Aizawa.
Before you leave, you hear Tsu muse aloud about the fact that Aizawa may want to talk to you about yesterday, but in comparison to yesterday, you don't mind her doing it, knowing that she would do the exact same thing whether you were sat there or not, making no effort to hide the fact that she had feelings about what you did and that they didn't necessarily affect the way she thought of you as a person.
