On the scale of things they could ask you to do while you were under their care, looking after Cloud was one of the less offensive things they could have requested you do.
In fact, you were looking forward to Star disappearing for the day with Shigaraki and Dabi. Sure, the others would probably be around still, but they kept themselves to themselves mostly, apart from maybe Toga.
You'd still have Zero trailing after you, but you could handle that if it meant having the oddly soothing little creature to yourself for a good chunk of time.

And for some reason, Star seems to think you're some kind of idiot, because she's telling you how to look after the fluffy beast in your arms as though cats don't largely look after themselves.
You would be blunt with her again, but you can feel Shigaraki's eyes on you, so you refrain.

"This is his food." She explains to you, opening a little cupboard with a bag of food and a scoop resting against it. "You just need to give him one scoop! Because he's only little."

You nod silently, holding the warm, purring creature to your chest tightly as if you're worried they'll tear him from you.

"If you want to give him a treat you have to get them from the top cupboard, because Dabi said he's naughty and tries to get them himself." She continues, pointing at a cupboard over the extraction fan on the cooker.

An issue for her, perhaps, but you were taller, so could easily reach the cupboard if you wanted to. It was good to know, maybe you could pocket a few and use them lure him away from Star when you needed him for company.

"Okay." You agree with a small shrug.

"You can't give him too many though, otherwise he'll get fat." She tells you, looking at you like she's making sure you're definitely listening to the bare minimum on how to look after an animal.

You nod tiredly, trying very hard not to roll your eyes.

"He can have one catnip stick." She continues to lecture you. "Too much can make him weird."

"I remember." You say dryly, your mind going back to a couple of days ago when Twice had left the jar out, which had inevitably been batted off the counter and smashed to pieces on the floor, making the sticks too easy for Cloud to eat too many of them.

The poor thing was spaced out for hours after that.

"He likes cuddles and chin scratches." She goes on, petting his head a little shyly as you continue to cradle him like a big fluffy baby. "But too many belly pets makes him angry."

"I learned that last night." You relate, the scratch marks on your wrist telling the story for you.

"You'll have fun together!" She nods, the movement full of confidence and then scratches his head again. "See you later, Cloud."

"Bye." You say, watching as she goes to rejoin Shigaraki, and there is an unmistakable warmth in the cold man's eyes as he looks down at her. "...Have fun."

"You too!" She calls back enthusiastically, beaming at you and being lead out of the kitchen by Shigaraki, trusting him completely as he uses the palm of his hand against the back of her head to do so.

When they're out of sight, you realise your wings are sagging completely behind you instead of standing proud, betraying your true feelings to Shigaraki and Star if the two knew enough to pay attention to the feathery appendages behind you.
Maybe you were missing Keigo more than you wanted to admit to.
Maybe it wasn't just him. You missed Hitoshi, too. You wondered if he was even trying to help find you after everything, if he was okay, or if you were long forgotten.
You even missed Midoriya, and his long rants about subjects you didn't really care about.
