**CW: MENTION OF GORE**

Star was thankfully subdued after that incident, even though she still refused to eat and wasn't able to pretend she liked either of you at all times.
But after a little while of her compliance, it was enough for Keigo to allow you to go to your vocal coach again, and see Shinsou and the others at UA as long as you went in the armored car with a driver that he seemed to have on speed dial.
His wings still hadn't fully formed yet, so he was just doing work in the office at home for now, and with Star not really venturing outside of her room, he started to get more and more relaxed, too.

Whenever she did leave her room, she kind of just paced around the house and looked around, sometimes settling awkwardly on the couch and watching you and Keigo carefully.
Whenever she did that, you both would move more cautiously yourselves and gently try to involve her in conversation. Usually she just wanted to sit silently and draw with whatever Keigo could bring her from his office, though, perfectly sated with even lined paper and a pen in her hand.
Sometimes you'd even be able to sit relatively close to her without her lashing out.

It was uncertain peace, but it was peace all the same.

You were sat downstairs with her, distracted by your phone as Adventure Time plays on the TV, which you and Keigo had found out that, despite it making her cry silently from time to time, she was perfectly happy watching it quietly, her thumb usually in her mouth despite her age.
You were talking to Shinsou, keeping half an eye on the girl beside you as Keigo worked upstairs.

Toshi: are you free today?

You: Always at the moment

Toshi: want to finally go to that cat café? It's open now that Muscular's been bested...again...
Toshi: also seeing as little F/N is behaving now.

You pause, looking at Star.
She still looks tired and frail, and still isn't eating solid foods, and rarely spoke. Now she wasn't fighting, she was easy to look after really. Keigo could definitely handle it, he was a pro hero after all.
You look back down at your phone, typing out a quick response.

You: I'll ask, sec

Toshi: fingers crossed.

You slide your phone into your hoodie pocket, tapping Star's knee gently. She huffs and moves her leg away instinctively, her eyes still on the screen opposite.

"I'm just going upstairs for a second, okay?" You tell her on the off chance she liked having you near.

She shrugs harshly and you snort a little to yourself. That was probably the best you were going to get from her, so you get up and head towards Keigo's office, knocking on the door lightly.

"Whats up?" He calls from inside.

"Can I come in?" You ask.

"'Course, dove." Is the fond response.

You open the ajar door, Keigo spinning in his office chair to face you, the artificial light from his laptop lighting one side of his face.

"Everything okay?" He asks, running his eyes over you.

You nod, feeling a little shy about asking him for some reason.

"Can I go and see Shinsou today?" You ask.

"Sure, UA?" He asks, moving to pick up his phone.

You shake your head, making him pause. "Cat café..."

He takes a moment, bobbing his head up and down slowly. "The date. Right..."

He seems thoughtful for some reason, but eventually scratches at the reforming pin feathers on the back of his neck.
