"Come in!" A woman entered the apartment, curious and a bit shy.

Namjoon had been dating Mijoo for a few weeks but they hadn't made things official. It was Namjoon's twelfth date after a series of unsuccessful ones with other people. Most of the time they were incompatible and a few times those women didn't want to settle down as a family so soon so Namjoon never blamed them. He knew Mijoo wasn't super into settling down as well but she confessed that she wanted to meet Minji before she decided it wasn't for her. Afterall, she had liked Namjoon for a long time.

Namjoon did his best to clean up his small apartment and re-taught Minji all the good manners she had to remember when a guest came to visit. He was nervous when Mijoo entered his small apartment but not for once did he spot a look of judgment in her face or eyes. He really didn't want to fuck it up; Mijoo was one of the best women he had ever dated or even seen. She was kind, smart, beautiful and so, so, so understanding of Namjoon's situation like no other. He really wanted to work this out with her.

"So this is my home," he said, his voice a little shaky. "Wait; Minji-ah, we have a guest!"

In a few seconds, a little girl of four waddled out of her room in little steps and Mijoo's face lit up in a smile. She got down on her knees in front of her as Minji bowed down.

"Hello, I'm Minji!"

"You're so adorable, Minji," she cooed and took out a bar of chocolate from her bag and handed it to her. "I didn't have much time but I bought you a little something."

"Chocolate! It's my favourite one!"

"It is?"

"Yeah!" The little girl squealed and jumped into her arms. Namjoon tried stopping her, fearing that it would somehow offend Mijoo but the woman just stopped him with a smile and kept hugging the child in her arms.

Later, they all had dinner that Namjoon made and it was all Mijoo and Minji's favourite. He thought it would be like a date but Minji refused to sit down in one place and eat peacefully. She did that sometimes but that day, it was a bit much. Namjoon had to do the airplane trick to make her eat and then pretend to eat her food and gasp in faux excitement so that it would intrigue her all while she drew something. Mijoo watched them all the while, a small smile on her face.

Then, Minji ran over with a piece of paper and showed it to the woman. "I drew you! How is it?"

It was distorted and as good as a toddler could draw but Mijoo put her chopsticks down and affectionately stroked her head. "It's so pretty, Minji. I look prettier in your drawing!"

Minji squealed and when she turned around to show the drawing to her father, her hand knocked over the soup bowl and everything spilled down. Namjoon hissed and stood up, soup and vegetables clinging to his clothes.

"Sorry, Appa!" She squeaked out. Namjoon looked at her and just broke into a smile.

"It's okay, Ji-ah. It was an accident. I can clean up again. Just wait and don't knock over anything else, okay?" Sending an apologetic smile to Mijoo, Namjoon cleaned the table, floor and chair up with some tissues and went to his room to get changed.

Mijoo turned to see Minji pouting and sitting still, which she hadn't seen since she entered the house. "Minji-ah," she called the girl. "Come here." When Minji walked over, she held her hand gently.

"Are you sad?"

"Yes. I always spill something and make Appa clean up. I'm a bad girl."

"Does your Appa call you a bad girl?"

"No. Appa calls me a pretty girl and a good girl."

"Then you are a pretty and a good girl, Minji. Your Appa isn't mad at all."
