"Bye Jackson... thanks for the drive have a great evening!" You yelled as you had stepped onto the porch and managed to open your door. You smiled as you glanced at his car one last time before finally stepped inside.
You could hear the tv in the living room being on, and you figured Lana had probably stayed up, waiting for you to come home.
You smiled before throwing off your shoes and your light jacket, walking into the living room."Hey" you said, Lana turning around to look at you with a smile before you walked around the couch to plop down next to her. She immediately wrapped her arm around you before kissing the side of your head.
"Who were you talking to?" She asked in her raspy voice as she looked back in the direction of the tv.
"Just my coworker Jackson, he gave me a ride back home" you answered carefree, not thinking it would be a big deal, but a knot in Lana's stomach immediately appeared she had to admit to herself. She swallowed before trying to put it aside, but she couldn't for more than ten seconds.
"Jackson?" She questioned, still looking at the tv pretending to actually watch it.
"Yeah just a friend" you answered back quickly, you actually getting caught up with the show that was rolling on the screen before Lana turned her head to look at you. "So now he's a friend?"
You got snapped out of your little trance because of Lana's many questions and comments, looking at her confused.
"Sorry what did you say?" You asked, genuinely not hearing what she had said.
Lana sighed smiling, telling herself that she was being ridiculous for even thinking about it.
"Nothing my love" she smiled, letting her precious girl continue to watch the tv, before she found her way to your hair with her fingers, stroking through it calmly.
The time had hit 11pm, and Lana had gotten up as the first one as always since you quickly got glued to the tv. She looked down at you with a smirk, giving you a cheeky look "you coming?"
You looked back at her smiling, "I'll be up when it's finished" you said, referring to the show you were watching, making Lana nod before she made her way upstairs.
She quickly brushed her teeth and did her little skincare routine before getting into bed. She had lightened a lavender candle and gotten her book, hurrying under the sheets as she caught herself rubbing her feet against each other with a content smile. A sigh left her, before she started on reading her book.
"Hi..." you said when you entered the bedroom after about fifteen minutes of separation from your favorite human being. Lana looked up smiling, not saying anything before continuing with her book.
You started to undress yourself since you already had brushed your teeth. Lana didn't look up once, and you started to get a little suspicious.
"You're okay?" You asked, looking across the room to the bed where she was sitting.
"Mhm..." she answered, biting the inside of her cheek and narrowing her eyes as she was reading. You eyed her for a while before putting on your nightgown, joining her under the sheets.
Again she didn't look at you once, making you really confused to what was wrong with her. You started thinking if you had done anything to make her upset, but you couldn't come up with a reason.
"You're sure?" You asked, and this time her head turned right, looking at you.
"I'm fine baby" she said with a forced smile that you easily could see through. She closed her book, turned off her night light and turned onto her left side backing you.
You frowned before laying down yourself, your mind wandering.
Minutes passed until you couldn't resist anymore. You scooted closer to her, wrapping your arms around her waist as you pulled her back towards you.
You felt her warm body against yours making you sigh in relief before kissing her neck. "Tell me what's bothering you love"
You heard Lana sigh, making you place your hands at her stomach, caressing it hoping it would give her some kind of comfort.
"I hate saying this cause I sound like a jerk..." she said, pausing before she continued.
"That Jackson... first he drove you home, then you said he was a coworker and suddenly he was your friend, I guess I just got..." Lana stopped herself, taking in a deep breath not wanting to say what came next.
"Jealous?" You asked shocked and you felt her nodding. You internally giggled, but quickly reminded yourself that Lana actually had felt hurt about it.
"Well I mean he's probably handsome... and I know he's your age cause your work only hire people from 25 and down" she said, and you frowned, pulling at her so she would turn around.
She was now facing you and your heart melted seeing her beautiful face.
"Wow wow wow baby" you said with a shocked expression on your face. "You really think I would prefer him because he's handsome and my age?" You asked, scoffing slightly.
"I know it sounds ridiculous I just couldn't help myself" she said sighing. You leaned in and kissed her lips delicately, a little sound appearing when you pulled apart.
"I love you Lana, and I'm all yours" you said and she smiled.
"I know, I was just being ridiculous..."
Your lips turned into a little smile before you made her roll onto her back as you straddled her. "No it's okay" you said, grinning at her. "I would rather you tell me than walking around feeling insecure about it" you admitted, before you again leaned down to kiss her. Her hands found their way to your sides, sliding up your nightgown a bit as she smiled into the kiss.
"I love you too" she then said, admiring her beautiful and most treasured possession in front of her who was admiring her right back. From the look you shared, Lana knew she would never have to worry about such thing ever again.
