As we all know Lana has Covid right now so here's a little one shot fitting for that:))

The couch felt extra empty tonight.

Lana's usual spot was filled with pillows and your feet, a little blanket over them to keep you warm. Lana had for the fourth time caught Covid due to her weak lungs, and you felt so bad for her.

You knew she was upstairs in bed, cuddling with Levi while probably having a hard time breathing and just existing to be honest. She had earlier, over a phone call, insisted that you should sleep in the guest room since she didn't wanna infect you. You had been reluctant about her
suggestion - more of a demand, - but had agreed eventually. Though now, listening to the coughs from upstairs, you felt the need to be there for her, more than just over text.

You sighed, grabbing your phone from the sofa table, finding her on your screen, before you started typing determinedly with your thumbs.

You: baby I can hear you cough all the way down here... I'm coming up

You had only put down your phone when it vibrated.

Lana: no you're not.

You couldn't help but giggle because of the period she added in the end of her sentence. She was so old.

You: yes I am. Wether you like it or not you have asthma and weak lungs. I can't just let you be all alone in such a condition.

Lana: there's no need for me to pass Covid onto you

You sighed. You got what she was implying, but she was also just so stubborn, clearly in a weak state right now and she wouldn't let you be there for her.

You: we live under the same roof. I'll catch it sooner or later anyway

Lana: not if you stay away from the bedroom.

You rolled your eyes.

You: can I at least bring you something?

There was silent for a while. No new text popped up and you figured she was being stubborn, until the three dots appeared, and you knew she was typing.

Lana: some tea.

You smiled at your phone. She always caved in.

You: give me five:)

You got up from the couch, groaning since it was harder than you had expected. You got to the kitchen, turned on the kettle and picked out the tea she loved from the upper cabinet. Soon, you stood outside your bedroom door, placing a tray with the tea and a spoonful of honey, down on the floor. You walked back downstairs where you grabbed your phone and texted her.

You: your tea is outside the door<33

Without any reply to your message, you heard the door open and close upstairs and you chuckled. She was so adorable.

An hour later you had expected her to be asleep, considering it was 11pm, but one cough followed by another echoed through the house and confirmed that she was very much awake.
It hurt you to know she was incapable of sleeping because of her lungs being so infected. You decided it was enough, and you turned off the tv, rolling the curtains down and turned off the lights on the ground floor. You then made your way upstairs, turning left instead of right, to make your way to your shared bedroom.

The coughs got more audible now that you were upstairs, and it tugged at your heartstrings how she was suffering this much.

Your knuckles gently knocked on the bedroom door, and you heard a soft voice speak

"What?" She asked from the other side of the door.

"Can I come in?" You asked stupidly, knowing she would say no. Which she immediately did. You sighed, and leaned against the door.

"Baby you're coughing, I can't let you sleep alone in this state, Covid or not I'm coming in" you said, turning the door knob and walking into your bedroom. Lana couldn't even protest before you were already standing in front of the bed, your eyes gazing over her poor self lying in bed with Levi all snuggled up to her side.

Your heart squeezed with love and concern for her, and you sighed sympathetically
"awh sweetheart" you mumbled as you crawled onto the bed and squeezed down next to her and Levi.

Lana was still not fond of the idea of you being this close to her, her head turning away every time she coughed.

You placed a hand on her chin, turning her head back towards you.

"Anything I can do for you?" You asked with a voice that was laced with concern.

Lana shrugged tiredly. "Cuddles... but I don't wanna pass it onto you" she mumbled exhaustedly, tired of how she couldn't fall asleep due to the coughing and headache.

You felt your heart clench, and you couldn't stop yourself before you scooted closer to her, Levi adjusting to the new position.
"Come here." You wrapped your arms around her body, pulling her closer to you. Lana didn't hesitate anymore, she cuddled up to you and nuzzled her face against your neck.

"Poor baby" you whispered against her hair, only imagining how exhausting all of this was for her.

You could feel how her forehead was burning and
It was obvious she was having a fever as well.
"You sure you don't want me to get you a painkiller?" You asked, but Lana shook her head groggily in the crook of your neck.

She had never been one to take them. And never would. She would rather suffer like this, which you normally admired, but right now you wished she would just cross that bridge and take one. It would clearly help her.

"Okay" you mumbled, kissing her slightly sweaty hair. You held her close to you and provided her the comfort she had been without for 24 hours now. Finally she could give in and just cuddle with you.

"Don't worry about passing it onto me... then we can be two Covid beasts together" you chuckled gently, trying to lighten the mood.

Lana chuckled softly against your chest and you couldn't help but smile before caressing her hair.

"Now try and sleep. If the coughing gets too much I'll go get you some tea and medication" you whispered into her ear before kissing the shell of it.

Lana's eyes closed and she eventually fell asleep without too much complication. Her body went limb in your arms as she drifted off to sleep and you breathed out, knowing you were so gonna catch it, but you didn't care. As long as you were there for her nothing else mattered.

You placed a last loving kiss to her forehead, feeling the warmth from it on your lips before falling asleep as well.
