Night had not long fallen upon Wessex as Freya was stood with Ragnar, King Horik, Erlendur, Yelena, Lagertha, Bjorn and the rest of the group as they had found out that King Horik had sent his men and his son to ambush Aethelwulf and the Saxons after Ragnar had negotiated with Aethelwulf with an arrangement, " King Horik, your behaviour has made it very difficult to talk peace or to negotiate with King Ecbert" Ragnar commented rolling his eyes in annoyance.

Freya kept her expression neutral as she stood next to her father with her arms folded loosely across her chest as she remained silent looking between Ragnar and King Horik who resorted, " I never had any intention of negotiating with King Ecbert. I thought you were aware of that. I only want revenge. I want to kill King Ecbert. and then perhaps, I shall talk to him"

The auburn haired girl scoffed with a shake of her head sharing a look with Yelena when Lagertha spoke up as she glanced around at the group, " if we defeat Ecbert in battle, he may be prepared to offer us more in terms not only of gold, but of land" Ragnar shook his head holding up Athelstan's bracelet for everyone to see and pointed out, "This was a gift in good faith"

"What is good faith?" King Horik questioned as he looked up at Ragnar across from him with a roll of his eyes, "Why should there be good faith between us and Christians?" He glared directly at Ragnar before turning his attention to Floki, " what do you say, Floki?" He made a weird face in response before nodding his head in agreement causing Freya to roll her eyes as she knew he would agree with Horik as he had made it clear he didn't like any Christians or their beliefs especially when it came to the priest, " They worship a false god. They're fleas and vermin."

" I will go myself and talk to him," Ragnar stated with a knowing expression as he knew this wasn't going to go well if a war breaks out especially if they want to make an alliance with King Ecbert as the rest of the group turned their attention to Ragnar. " you will not decide our forces, Earl Ragnar!" Horik snapped glaring coldly at the man, "You seem to forget I am King."

"How could he forget? You only remind us all of it every chance you get" Freya grumbled under her breath narrowing her eyes coldly at Horik as Ragnar smiled looking at his daughter gratefully, "But tell me, if you must always remind us that you are king whenever things don't go your way, are you truly a king at all?" Horik had an offended look on his face as he stood up towering over her with his sword pointed towards her which made Bjorn stand up in alarm but Freya remained unbothered, " you have 10 seconds to remove your sword from my face before I kick your ass"

Horik clenched his jaw furiously narrowing his eyes dangerously at Freya, " you dare defy me!" The auburn haired girl sighed heavy fed up with King Horik as Ragnar smiled in amusement at his daughter, " Yeah, I do. I'm not afraid of you Horik but what I find so interesting is how you wanted to be equals with my father and mother but you constantly throw it in the faces that your king when you don't agree with their decisions. You attacked the Saxons who came to us peacefully but you had a fit when Ragnar didn't inform you of his decision regarding the Saxons but then you did the exact same thing. Just because you are King doesn't mean that everything will go your way or that everyone will agree with you"
