𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗬𝗔 𝙅𝘼𝙈𝙀𝙎𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙊𝙏𝙏𝙄𝙍 𝙃𝘼𝘿 spent the majority of her life in Kattegat that was until she was five years old, Freya had gone with her parents who wanted to travel the world only they got caught in a storm. A man named Athelstan saved her life that day but she also lost her parents that day as well due to the shipwreck and ever since then Athelstan had become like a brother to the red headed little girl.
Athelstan had taught Freya everything that she needed know, as while Freya was thankful to Athelstan for everything he had done for her the other monks weren't and has tried multiple of times to make her become a Christian but she never did as she never forgot where she come from as she was a Viking and would never be ashamed of who and where she comes from as it's the only thing she has left of her family.
Freya was now eleven years old, living at the Lindisfarne Monastery in the Kingdom of Northumbria, a place that has never felt like home as she's never met another child here or even a women but she intends to fight with everything in her where one day she will make it back home and hopefully has some sort of family back in Kattegat. Freya had been treated as nothing but a slave here from the monks and wants nothing more than to be free and find out exactly where she's from as she doesn't remember her parents apart from their names Skade and James.
With a grunt, Freya climbed back onto her feet ignoring Simon outstretched hand to help her back onto her feet. As she got into a fighting position as she's been training with him since she was six years old and one day when she is strong enough and old enough she will escape the Monastery and take her own life in her own hands. Simon raised both his swords in his hands and attacked Freya who easily dodged the hits.
kicking her leg out only for him to take a step back to avoid the red headed girl to kick one of the swords out of his hands. She grabbed his arm and was about to kick his feet out from under him when Simon grabbed her arm pulling her out and towards him only for her to flip her body out and land on her feet snatching the sword from his hand and placing it against his neck with a smirk on her face.
"You've improved" Simon grinned with a look of awe and amazement on his face causing Freya to take a step away from him handing him his swords back with a bright smile as she had met him in town in the couple of weeks she was staying here training with his brother and had begged the man to train her into a warrior as she wanted to learn to protect herself and how to fight especially in a place filled with men even if the monks are celibate you can never be certain of men's intentions as they think all women are for is sex, a wife to come home to who cleans and cooks food and attends to their every need which is why Freya never wants to marry and wants travel the world just like her parents were doing before the shipwreck.
Simon and Freya shared a look when the sounds of the warning bells was heard causing her to frown in confusion as she walked away from him watching people immediately make their way towards the chapel as Father Cuthbert stood nearby not having any idea what was happening, " what is it? Why was the warning bells rung?" He questioned in an annoyed tone when Athelstan stopped running with an uneasy look on his face and informed, "They've come. They are here"
