VICTORIA FELT LIKE SHE WAS IN HEAVEN. Nothing could ruin this for her. She felt as if she was on cloud nine and would never come down. Her eyelids felt heavy as she fought the urge to close them, wanting to soak up more of this blissful moment with Anthony. However, it was proving to be more and more difficult, and he noticed. She didn't even notice him disappear with her blanket and sheets to make her bed. When he came back, he noticed she was nearly asleep, making him chuckle.
"Come on, let's get you to bed baby."
"Can we go to the beach tomorrow?" She asked sleepily as he carried her to the bed. He chuckled and nodded his head.
"Yes, we can go to the beach tomorrow."
He placed her on her bed, tucking her in under her blanket.
"Good night, Victoria," he cooed as he kissed her temple. However, there was no response from her besides a small smile because she was already fast asleep.
Anthony gently shut the door to not wake her up and proceeded to clean up their mess. He decided to wash all of the sheets and blankets, because the smell of them was all over it.
It was obvious to him that he definitely had feelings for her. Whether or not she felt the same was up in the air. He decided that they'd talk more about it tomorrow and where to go from there.

Victoria never woke up this happy before. Not even as a kid, when Santa came and it was time to open presents.
Her mind wouldn't stop traveling to last night's events, and how he made her feel. She couldn't explain the warm sensations she got when he was around, but she knew she didn't want it to stop.
What confused her though, were two questions.
1. Why did this happen so suddenly?
2. What were they and what would Vincent think?
She presumed it was some sort of bro-code that your best friend's little sisters were completely hands off. Should she even say anything to him without knowing Anthony's feelings? What were they, even?
She knew how she felt about him, but where the hell did they come from?
A knock on the door shook her from her thoughts. She quickly got up and opened the door, seeing Anthony there with a breakfast tray.
"Good morning," he greeted and kissed her forehead softly. "Get back in bed, I'm bringing breakfast to you."
She didn't need to be told twice, promptly getting back in bed and pooping herself up so she could sit right. It was a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast, but she was more than happy with it.
"You slept in. Vincent already went to work," he chuckled. "I figured you needed the rest."
"Thank you," Victoria smiled at him gratefully and continued to eat. There was a somewhat awkward silence, both of them knowing they needed to talk about last night. However, neither one of them wanted to be the first one to bring it up.
"Well, I got to get back to work. Let me know when you're done," Anthony awkwardly stood up and gave her a smile. She tried to hide her disappointment, but also understood he needed to work. Not only that, she wanted to work out her feelings before sitting down and actually talking with him.
As much as she hoped it wouldn't be a one time deal, she also didn't want to get her hopes up. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be on her part if she thought last night was more than what it really was, too? The very idea made her shudder.
After finishing her breakfast, she put the tray to the side and began to write in her journal, letting the ideas flow freely. Journaling was the one place where she could let it all out without feeling like a complete idiot.
Are we friends, Or are we not? You told me once, But I forgot. So tell me now, And say the truth, So I can say I'm here for you. I'd give the angels back their wings, And risk the loss of everything. All of this, I'd do for you, Just because I love you. In my heart, you'll always be, But that's the part you stole from me.
"Wow," she muttered to herself. "Already using that stupid L word after just one night."
Victoria threw her pen down in frustration and ran a hand through her hair. In the process of this, she discovered how greasy it was. Which ultimately led her to the decision to take a shower. It was also probably a good idea for her to wash off all of last nights... extracurricular activities.
She put her tray on the counter before sauntering off to the bathroom. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she turned the shower onto her preferred temperature. Which was scolding hot, of course.
The moment she stepped in, all of her over thinking and anxieties washed away, down the drain with the water. While most people chose to shower as a method to clear their thoughts, she chose to use them as an escape.
However, the warmth also caused her to remember the warmth of Anthony's touch on her body. She whimpered a bit, before shaking her head and grabbing the shampoo.
"No, Victoria," she grumbled to herself as she continued to wash her hair and her body. Just as she was rinsing off the soap from her body, the bathroom door opened.
"Jesus, I'm sorry! I had my headphones on because of a meeting I didn't realize-"
Victoria stood there frozen upon hearing his voice, the very man she was trying not to think about. The thing about the shower here, was that it was a clear glass door, so he was able to see everything.
"It's okay," she said with a shakey voice. "I'm almost done anyways."
The door shut, much to her disappointment once again.
"I'll wait," she heard from outside, making her sigh and turn off the water frustratingly. What was she expecting, honestly? For him to get in and fuck her sensless? She shouldn't have expected anything. No expectations meant no disappointments, right?

Okay, so I'm realizing three to five chapters a week in one day is a lot on my mental health, so final update schedule is as followed: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I'll do 1-2 chapters each update. And yes, this ends on a cliffhanger. The poem that Victoria wrote is actually mine, please don't steal. ❤️ Love you all, see you Monday!
