・゜゜・.THREE MONTHS LATER .・゜゜・

Clara woke in her most favourite way, curled up in crisp hotel room sheets with her favourite person in the world. He smiled as she yawned and stretched out her arms, proceeding to turn around to face him completely.

"Happy birthday," he whispered with that perfect sleepy morning voice. The second their gazes met, her entire body warmed and a grin began to call her face home. The action still enough to set fireworks through her stomach.

"Happy Halloween," she whispered back and watched as he grew the most perfect of grins, her gaze focused majorly on the dimples that she loved the most. He, after smiling into the briefest of kisses, turned and took a wrapped box off of his nightstand. She quickly sat up, placing a pillow behind her head with one hand whilst the other took the small box from his hand. Intrigue and excitement took over and she did not waste a second before she pulled off the thin green ribbon and opened the navy wrapping paper. She smiled brightly the second she opened the box, recognising the gift just by the smallest of snapshots."You went back?" she asked in astonishment, fingertips tracing the delicate loops of the silver chain.

"You fell in love with it," he responded softly, shrugging as if the gesture was not one that almost brought her to tears. They had, on one of their many walks together, decided to take a trip into every shop that they came across just to add some variety to their day. After many convenience stores and other shops alike, they had stumbled across the cutest of cramped antique shops. Knick knacks and crockery littered every shelf, books piled high in any corner possible. It smelled old but not in the way that made you want to turn up your nose. It smelled old in the same way that it smelt of home, the perfectly welcoming environment. They browsed for forty minutes and just as they were about to leave, Clara spotted the very necklace she held in her hand. It was a small victorian oval with a moss like crystal in the middle of the intricate patterns. It opened up and housed enough space for a few flower petals or a small photo, the lady in the shop had told her that it often housed petals to act as perfume. She had fallen in love with it the instant that she saw it but could not bring herself to buy it. It was too expensive and they had to fix the roof, again, plus she did not need such a beautiful necklace. It wasn't safe to wear to work and since she spent most of her life on cases, it didn't make much sense.

"Thank you," she whispered and it was the most sincere thanks he had ever received in his life. Even all the thank yous given to the families of victims of murders had nothing on the look within her eyes, the true and pure appreciation for something so small in the grand scheme of things. But to her, it wasn't small at all.

After gently placing the necklace down on her nightstand, being extra careful as if it were the most delicate substance known to man, she caught his lips with all the passion fueled from receiving such a caring and thought out gift. As her fingertips trailed down his jaw, ending up playing with the ends of his hair at the nape of his neck, he began to trail the kisses down her jaw (making sure to focus in the one place she loved them the most.) He paused and moved his head away from hers, gaze flickering from hers to her lips repeatedly as he swallowed deeply. She loved the look in his eyes, pupils blown with pure devotion. She watched the lump in his throat bob up and down before she could not take it anymore and took his chin in her hands, pulling him closer to her even though they were as close as they could get. Without her even noticing, as she found herself too distracted by the singular thoughts of him, he managed to slip his hands under the hem of her pyjama top. His fingers traced lines and circles on the warm skin of her hips, his touches light and delicate despite the rough and unrelenting movement of their lips.

Sudden loud and thudding raps on their door halted all movement completely. Everything dispelled the second Morgan's voice boomed through the door, "Up and at 'em love birds! We have a lead!"

She sighed defeatedly, a deep sigh wiping her lungs of its previous breathlessness, "Bastardo."

They returned home the same day, the lead that had rudely pulled them both from bed happened to be the one lead that they needed. The group had finished most of the paperwork on the plane, having all wanted to get home for halloween related activities, so it only took them an hour to finish everything at the office when they landed. But they all happened to linger for a while, finishing cups of coffee or conversations as they usually did. Clara sat on Spencer's desk, the two of them having a hushed conversation whilst Rossi and Morgan had a conversation opposite them. "So are we going out for dinner or staying in?"

She paused for thought, swinging her legs back and forth absentmindedly. "In, that way we can watch the Halloween movies you want to watch before we both fall asleep."

"I was hoping you'd say that."

She chuckled softly and placed her hand on top of his on the desk almost entirely by accident. "I know."

"Ah, excuse me, everybody. I have an announcement to make," JJ called loudly as she walked into the room, catching the attention of every member of the BAU and even a few of the officers at the sides.  "As I'm sure some of you were aware, Henry was a little nervous about going trick-or-treating this year. But he's decided to go anyway."

"Great, what changed his mind?"

She smiled softly, "The BAU did. I told him that he should go out on Halloween and try to figure out which monsters are real and which ones are not."

"So he wants to be a profiler?" Morgan almost chuckled.

"Ah, he wants to be his favourite profiler," JJ quickly corrected and moved out of the way, giving them all the perfect line of sight as Henry walked into the room with Garcia. He was dressed head to toe exactly like Spencer, even complete with mismatched socks and his usual satchel. Spencer grinned ear to ear as he stood up and started to walk over to Henry, the rest of the BAU laughing heartily.

Henry ran forward to meet him and the two of them hugged, Spencer kneeling on the floor to make it easier. "Oh, wow! You look great, Henry," he grinned and took a second to unpin his fbi badge.

"Oh, he's official," Morgan commented as Spencer pinned his badge onto Henry's cardigan as the boy smiled toothily.

Clara turned to Garcia, who had come to stand next to her so she could see the adorable events without being in the way. "That's by far the cutest thing I've ever seen."

Garcia nodded and beamed as Henry quoted a fact joyfully. "Makes your ovaries hurt, huh?"

"Big time," Clara laughed, feeling that certain ache within her body that she had only just started to feel again. The human nature yearning for a child, she hadn't thought she'd ever feel that again.

Spencer and Henry high fived before JJ directed him out of the office for trick or treating with Garcia excited following behind them both. "Watch your back, pretty boy, he might end up stealing the heart of your girl too," Morgan joked as he too went to leave the office, looking forward to his plans for the night. Clara laughed loudly as Spencer grew a look of fake concern.

"Have a good birthday Kiddo," Rossi smiled as he handed her an envelope containing a gift card with just a little too much money on it. He liked to share his wealth with the people he cared about most but Clara would never accept a penny, her birthday meant that she couldn't refuse it. "Buy yourself something far too expensive for what it is. You deserve it."

She smiled thankfully and stepped off the desk, hugging him tightly."Grazie mille zio Rossi," she smiled as their short hug broke. He was rather surprised that she hadn't refused the gift as he had suspected she would but Clara knew that he'd find some way to make sure she kept it over the next few days. The last gift had been snuck into the glove box of her car somehow and she had received it days after her birthday.

Quickly, Spencer and Clara had become the only two left in the office. She collected her bag from her own desk as he picked up his and once she had shut down her computer, she took his jokingly extended arm and looped their arms together.
