・゜゜・.A WEEK LATER .・゜゜・

JJ and Will's wedding rolled around quicker than anyone had expected. The wedding came the night that they got back to their first case after the two week break, which thankfully had gone smoothly. She had worried that her mind wouldn't be as in it as it usually was but no conflict came, thank god. She loved her job too much for it to be ruined by straying thoughts.

"Spence, can you come and help? I think I broke the zip!" Clara yelled from their bedroom as she stood in front of the full length mirror, fighting with the zip to her dress. When this situation happened before, and it happened often, she would be forced to run over to her neighbour. The lovely elderly lady whom she had quickly gotten to know due to dress mishaps was always happy to do up the zip, even if it was with a shaking hand. She did think about going over there, for old times sake, but she thought it would be too late in the night for that.

Spencer walked from the bathroom to the bedroom, still continuing to brush his teeth."Woah," he half muttered when he walked into the room, immediately overcome with those same butterflies that often called his stomach home when it came to her. He hadn't seen her dressed up for a while, they hadn't had time for fancy dates, but this couldn't be compared to those times. She wore a perfectly fitting dress in his favourite colour.

Clara rolled her eyes and laughed through her nose. "Don't drip that on the carpet," she replied whilst gesturing to the toothbrush in his hand.

He put the toothbrush back in his mouth and walked over to her, finding the zip caught in some of the fabric of the dress. It took him a second but he managed to untangle it then pulled up the zip, the sound was ever so satisfying to a panicked Clara. She smoothed down the front of the dress with her hand as he stepped away, watching how the bottom twirled with her movements. She smiled as she looked up from the bottom of the dress, gaze finding his through the mirror. "Staring again?"

He shrugged, "Sorry, can't help it."

Clara laughed to herself as he walked out of the room. Once he had gone, she picked up the necklace she had gotten for her birthday and draped it over her neck. As she closed the clasp and moved her hair back to its usual place, he reentered the room and placed both hands on her waist. She smiled softly as he used his hands to turn her around, kissing her softly whilst tilting up her chin with his knuckle.

"Mh. Minty," she whispered and they both fell into laughter as she turned back around, enjoying the sight of him in the mirror. He always looked good in suits, especially with the loosened crooked tie.

"Ready?" he asked after glancing at his watch, noticing how they were running just a few minutes behind.

She nodded and grabbed her heels from the bottom of her closet, following him out of the room and towards the car.

After the ceremony in Rossi's back garden, the after party began. Whilst Clara had been dealing with a rather drunk and upset Penelope as her ex was in attendance, Spencer took to entertaining his godson with a few magic tricks as he had been looking rather bored whilst his parents were making the rounds. When Clara had comforted Penelope to the best of her abilities, she found herself falling into a conversation with Rossi as they both drank a whiskey that he had dug out for the occasion. Thirty minutes into their discussion, as she laughed at something that had been said, Clara searched through the people for Spencer. Once she had made eye contact with him, and noticed how he was now with Morgan, she smiled and checked he was okay with her eyes. When he nodded, she returned back to the discussion with Rossi as if nothing had happened. But the interaction meant the world to him.

"You best marry that girl," Morgan commented, having witnessed the interaction and Spencer's reaction to it. He had intended for it to be a joke, so his response was shocking to say the least.

"I'm planning to."

Morgan chuckled under his breath and brotherly tapped him on the shoulder, acting as if he was wiping away tears with the hand that held his glass. "Pretty Ricky's all grown up."

"Shut up," he sighed whilst watching how Garcia dragged Clara away from Rossi. They shared a quick whispered conversation then turned to Spencer and Derek, obviously conducting some sort of plan. The two women walked towards them as the song changed and turned slow, their plan quickly becoming apparent. Garcia grabbed Morgan's hand and dragged him onto the dance floor but Clara had to do no such thing. She took his hand and willingly led them both to dance.

They, like many other members of the BAU, danced to the slow song with various extents of closeness to their partners depending on the relationship. Spencer had both his hands on her waist, mirroring that morning, whilst Clara's arms were draped atop his shoulder. Their dance was a little clumsy in places, as they hadn't really danced together before, but it was perfect and sweet in its own way. They entered a little bubble of their own, forgetting everyone else around them whilst they swayed and could not physically take their eyes off the other person.

"I love you Ara," he whispered softly and she could quickly tell that there was some sort of hidden message behind that. Something that he was thinking deeply about. But she decided not to press, it didn't seem to be negative so why bother. And of course she was correct, the thought had been a good one. Dancing with the most beautiful girl in the room hadn't been something his younger self, nor his adult self, had ever thought imaginable until her. He just simply was eternally grateful and completely irreversibly in love with her.

She smiled and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips, "Ti amo."
