A/N I feel like I'm doing this in every chapter but over 200 reads. Thank you. Just thank you. It means a lot to me. So thanks. Okay, so it's like a few days after chapter 1 and this is a little bit of a filler before I start introducing the angsty stuff.

"Hey Dan?" he looked up from his position in his sofa crease at my query. "Did you want to try making some cupcakes?" I asked, turning my laptop around to face him so that he could see the recipe I had pulled up. He smiled and nodded vigourously. I jumped up and dragged him into the kitchen. We began hunting around for all the ingredients. After quick trip to Tesco we had everything we needed. As you can imagine from two guys who've never baked in their lives it went a little less than smoothly.

"No Dan you need to keep the mixer in the-" Too late. Dan had lifted the mixer out of the bowl and dough went everywhere. I couldn't help it; I burst into a fit of laughter at his shocked expression. I was doubled over laughing when something made me straighten up and grin like a maniac. It was a beautiful sound that, in seven years, I had heard only five times. And that beautiful sound was coming from the man across from me, who was covered in dough and had his head thrown back. It was the sound of Dan's laughter. After we had finished laughing until our sides hurt, we cleaned up and put the cupcakes in the oven.

"Hey Dan, do you mind watching the cakes while I film a video?" I asked tentatively. He nodded still smiling so I quickly walked up to my room and set up. I sat down on my bed and pressed record. After looking at the blinking red light for a few seconds I started.

"Hey guys! So today..."

Half an hour later I pressed stop on the record. I decided to go check on Dan and the cakes; I would edit later. I heard a clatter as I walked to the kitchen.

"Are you okay?" I called stepping in. Dan was standing at the counter wearing oven mitts with the tray of cupcakes resting in front of him. He grinned at me and beckoned me over. We decorated the cupcakes in probably the weirdest fashion but it was so much fun. We got icing and sprinkles and ball bearings absolutely everywhere and on each other. I don't think I've ever seen Dan laugh or smile this much. And with every single one he took that little piece extra of my heart.
