A/N I don't really have much to say other than thank you all for 1.3K reads. This book is getting kind of popular and I'm really glad people are loving it. That is all :)

Dan and I were sitting on the couch as usual, scrolling through... whatever. And I was nervous. Really nervous. And I have no idea why.

Goddamit Phil, I thought. He's your boyfriend. You don't need to be nervous.

See, I'd realised that I'd never taken Dan on an actual date. So I'd made plans and gotten everything ready. Now I just had to ask him. I was trying to get myself together when Dan suddenly sat up, shifted both of our laptops off of us, and took my hands.

"W-whats wr-ong Phil?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" I replied, trying to pass it off.

"Y-you seem re-ally n-nerv-ous." I sighed. Dan knew me too well.

"Well... I realised yesterday that... we've never been on a proper date. So... did you want to go out tonight? Like on a date?" For a second he didn't reply and I fiddled nervously with my jumper sleeve.

"D-did you h-have anyth-thing in m-mind?" he inquired shyly.

"Actually I made reservations." I replied with a huge smile. Dan's eyes grew wide and he frantically rushed upstairs. I couldn't help my laughter. It was a good thing I'd asked him two hours before we needed to be there.

Two hours and much struggle later we finally pulled up to the restaurant. It wasn't anything flashy or fancy. It was a nice place, quite small because I knew that Dan didn't like a lot of people. I gave my name to the front counter and they led us to a small alcove on the other side of the restaurant. We were seated and going through the menu when a girl walked up to us. For a second I thought she was the waitress but she looked like a teenager.

"Can I help you?" I inquired politely.

"I-I'm sorry. I saw you come in and... are you AmazingPhil?" She asked, nervously shifting from foot to foot. I beamed at her.

"Yeah, I am."

"I'm Chloe. I love your videos. Could I get a picture?"

"Sure." I replied, kind of surprised. I stood and we took a picture.

"Thanks a lot." she said as I sat down again. She glanced at Dan who had been shyly trying to hide behind his menu.

"This is my best friend Dan." I explained.

"Hi." he said. She waved at him.

"Is this the Dan from your My New Roommate video?" (I know this doesn't exist. Deal with it)

"Um yeah." I replied awkwardly. Dan didn't know about that one. "Dan's been my friend since before I started YouTube actually."

"Really? Thats so cool." she said enthusiastically. Then she seemed to realise that she was kind of intruding. "I'll let you get back to your dinner, sorry. It was great meeting you though." I sighed in relief as she left and turned back to Dan who had a weird expression on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, leaning across the table to take his hand.

"N-nothing. I-it's just c-cool that y-you get re-congni-ised." The waitress came and we ordered our food, and our conversation drifted off into randomness. I couldn't keep the smile off my face at hearing Dan's beautiful voice so much. He was getting so comfortable with talking, at least around me, and I loved it and I told him as much. He blushed and smiled.

"T-that's why." he said shyly.

"Because I like it?" He nodded, smiling. Our food arrived and it was amazing. Looking over, I was so proud that Dan ate everything without me having to coax him. Maybe it was because I was distracting him but it was still a huge improvement for him. I figured dessert would be pushing it though so we just sat and talked for a while about everything.

"S-so Phil, do you th-think-" Dan suddenly dissolved into a coughing fit.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly, moving over to his side to pat his back. He tried to say something but just ended up coughing again. I hastily summoned a waiter and asked him for some water. The water probably realised how urgent it was because it came in seconds. Dan managed to drink the whole thing and stopped coughing. "Better?"

"Yeah." he rasped.

"What happened?" I was worried that Dan was getting sick again. He grabbed his notepad and wrote;

Too much talking, I think. I smiled.

"Not that you almost choking is a good thing but I'm glad you're talking.

"S-so am I." he stated, his voice going back to normal. We stayed for a little while longer before the waiter delivered our check, which I quickly grabbed.

"I'm taking you on a date." I reminded Dan.

"F-fine." he relented, fake pouting. "B-but I'm take-ing you next t-time." We walked toward the entrance and, as soon as we stepped outside, we were hit by the cold. I was wearing a jumper but I noticed that Dan wasn't.

"Come here." I said, slipping out of my jumper and wrapping it around us. He smiled gratefully at me and snuggled into my side. We were walking to my car when we passed a group of teenage girls. I didn't think much of it until Chloe from earlier stepped out and called;

"Hey! You guys have an adorable friendship!" I turned and smiled at her.

"Yeah, we do!" I called back. Dan hid his head in my shoulder, blushing. As we reached the car he whispered;

"We-e rea-lly do. And t-then some." he giggled. "Th-thanks for t-toni-ght, Phil. It was an ama-azing first date."

"Anything for you, Dan." I whispered back. "Anything."
