20. Angel or Demon

After dinner Marcus takes me to the underground ship. He makes me get rid of the disguise.

"There's my beautiful mate." He smiles and gives me a kiss. "Thank you. I just want to see you tonight."

I give him a hug. "I love you."

He hugs back and kisses my head. "I love you too. You want some cake or ice cream before we go back?"

I nod so fast. "YES."

He laughs for a second then leads me to the command area. He orders about 20 different kinds of ice cream. "We're just going to try them woman. We're not going to make ourselves sick."

I can't even sit still I'm so excited. "OK."

He laughs and rubs his eyes. The brains sit them all down and my eyes have to be so big. "THERE'S EVEN BLUE."

We start trying them and get flirty like before when we tried different food. Except this time, he ends up taking me right on the conference table. When it's over he sits down in a chair and pulls me into his lap. We cuddle and love on each other for awhile.

Then we go out and walk on the beach. We both sit down in the sand to watch the sun set.

We hold each other and he kisses on my head a bunch. Then he stands up and turns to a dragon. He digs the feather out with his beak then turns back to his human form.

I smile at him.

He sits back down and takes my arm. He puts the feather in it and smiles. "It's finally in there."

I send love to him then I show him the feather on his arm. "Do you know how to connect it?"

He shakes his head. "Thora never talked to me at all."

I smile. "Yea, I figured she would not stop talking or not talk at all."

He starts laughing. "Probably true."

I show him how to connect it and accept it. "I love it." I trace the outline of it on my arm and feel like I could cry. I finally have it.

"Will you marry me?"

I look at him funny. "I don't think we do that."

He laughs for a second. "I know. It's not something we do. But I've been to a bunch of human weddings for some reason." He shakes his head. "I just really like the vows they take for each other." He kisses my head. "I know it wouldn't mean anything to anyone else and I know it doesn't change anything. But I would like to say the vows with you. We can just hide for a few minutes some day, just the 2 of us and a priest."

I smile at him. "I would love to marry you. That sounds amazing."

He smiles and gets tears in his eyes.

I give him the biggest hug and end up laying on him in the sand. We hold each other until the sun goes down. Then we go back to his apartment and make love before we sleep.

We wake up in the morning and make love again before we shower and get dressed. I wear a human dress for the trip with my hair in a messy bun. I know we're flying. He told me a long time go. We eat breakfast just the 2 of us.

"You better connect that feather at least a few times. Just tell me you're having fun. I'm really going to miss you."

I smile. "I will and I'll miss you too."

We hold hands and walk into Dipak's office.

"YOU'RE MARKED."

Everyone turns and looks at me.
