49. There Are 6

I get woke up by Tye and Nikolas bringing me dinner.

Tye kisses my head. "You need to get up and eat babydoll."

I shake my head.

He pulls me out the bed by my foot. "Yes, stretch for me." He hugs me and wiggles a bit. "Come on. You have to eat."

I put my arms in the air and stand on my toes to stretch.

"Good girl. We brought you some dinner." He puts me in a chair and gives me the plate.

I blink at it a bit. "Did you find out anything?"

Tye nods. "The guard originally said it was your idea. You conspired with him to kill Tre."

I look around and scratch my head. Then I look at Tre and then at the guards. "What in the world would I need a guard for Tye?"

Tye, Nikolas, and all 4 guards start laughing. "I don't know babydoll. It didn't make any sense to us either. They eventually got him to admit he acted on his own. He was trying to kill Tre and take his place as your mate."

I scratch my head again. "Did he really think that would work?"

Tye nods. "I guess... I guess he thought if he killed one of us, he would automatically take our place."

"Well that's alarming. I wonder how many people think that. Is he still alive?"

"Dipak and Marcus have him alive I think... somewhere."

Nikolas nods. "We don't know where he is."

"I guess we need to hide how many mates I have and who they are, from everyone now. Even the guards. I wonder who told him that."

"They're trying to figure all that out. You just eat for now."

"It's not me that needs the guards Tye. It's my mates. Especially Johen. He can't even..."

"Dipak has 8 kings guards and Omar on him babydoll. He's safe. And not everyone knows he's your mate anyways. The table and servants, who help you both do, but not so much guards."

I nod. "I just wish I knew who told the guard that."

One of the kings guards steps forward. "I heard a few rumors about a week ago. Me and Marve were playing cards with some other guards. It involved taking a kings place. I laughed it off. It was all untrue bullshit. We all thought it was funny as hell. I didn't put it together until just now."

Tye jumps up and grabs his arm. "Guard summon the questioning table back. Nikolas stay with her." He drags the kings guard out. "Don't summon Nikolas you idiot... And who the hell is Marve?"

The 3 remaining guards and Nikolas all start laughing.

I just shake my head. "In some ways, he's so much like Dipak it's not even funny."

Kane walks in. "Who the hell's Marve?"

I just shrug my shoulders.

Nikolas looks at him. "He's a kings guard I think."

Kane nods. "I'm going to go grab some dinner. I'll let you know when I'm back and you can go for the night."

"Alright."

Kane leaves as Elkie and Dorseti walk in. They both sit some big bowls and empty plates down on the table.

Elkie looks at me and Nikolas. "We didn't know who all was here or what you would want to eat. So we just brought a little of everything they had ready."

I jump up. "Thank you. I'm hungry for anything that isn't this." They both start laughing.

Dorseti smiles. "We're going to take some to Dracul now. Do you think he'll care?"
