I get in a princess dress and meet Johen outside the ballroom. I stare at him for a second. "Have you ever seen a princess get escorted?"
He shakes his head.
Mary starts rubbing her eyes. Then she looks at a guard. "Summon Tre." She looks back at us. "I'll have Tre walk her in a couple times so you can watch. Then you'll at least have some idea."
I nod. "The hardest part is walking me in. After that we just eat. We can dance later if you want. I will get summoned for a dance a 2 though. I always have to dance with princes."
"He'll have to learn how to give your hand and take it back too. I'll have him trade you with Tre a little bit." She looks at another servant. "Go sit up a little table with 2 chairs." The servant runs off.
Tre walks up to us. "What you need?"
"He needs to watch it a couple times Tre. Stand by the door and watch Johen." Johen walks over to the door and smiles at me. I stand there trying to fix my boobs.
Tre eventually notices. Then he grabs the dress and pulls it up a bit. "That better?"
"Yes, thank you."
He looks at Johen. "You'll probably have to fix boobs a couple times."
"Well I look forward to that."
They both start laughing. "It is the best part of the job."
Mary rolls her eyes. "Ok everyone lines up out here. Usually Dipak would be behind her or in front of her with his date. No one can figure out the ranking anymore. So you'll be lined up out here between people." He nods. "Men stand on the right."
Tre shakes his head. "Men stand on whatever side other people are walking down the hallway on. It's usually right, but not always. See how I have her between me and the wall." Mary and Johen both nod. "That's to keep her from getting grabbed by anyone walking by."
I look at him weird. "I did not know that."
He smiles at me. "We do a lot of things you girls don't notice. It doesn't matter though, as long as you're safe." He kisses my head.
Mary looks at Johen. "I didn't know that either."
Johen starts laughing. "It's the same for walking down a path. Keep the girls away from the carriages and horses. One may act up or a carriage may lose a wheel or something weird. It gives us a few seconds to react."
Tre nods. "Shove your asses out of the way if we have to."
I shake my head. "Tre it was nice until you said shove your asses. That's why you can't talk to girls."
Johen starts laughing. "But it is true."
Mary looks around. "Anyways moving on. I'll be about here." She walks over in front of me. "I get announced early then come back for this." Johen nods. "So I fix the princess and make sure everything looks perfect. Then I get behind them. Go. Stop. Turn. Go. Stop." We follow it exactly. "This is where they get announced. Princess toe and a slug." I crack up laughing. "Go." Tre starts walking with me. "That is the final go. Once you get announced and I say go, you take her to the table." She looks at us. "Let's do that part a couple times, then he can try."
Me and Tre do it a few times then Johen does it perfectly.
Tre looks at him. "She gets a little anxious at the announce part. She doesn't like everyone staring at her. And depending on the titles they use for her. It can get long. You can whisper in her ear if she gets to bad. Just keep her mind off it." Johen nods at him.
"Ok let's move on to sitting her. We'll pretend to announce then I'll give you the final go. You just go sit her." Me and Tre show him. Then he does it perfect a few times.
