6. Don't Tell

Dipak and Marcus both walk over to the village with me. I find the girls fairly quick and start following them around. The boys stay far away and just watch over me. Everything seems fine really.

Suzie looks at me. "You seem so quiet today."

"Bad day. Just missing my brother."

She smiles. "Let's play some games."

I nod and we walk around playing some games. I play a throwing game and win a little pink bunny. I love it. I love my bear more but I like this too. I hug it and carry it around. Then I find Marcus.

"You win a bunny baby?"

I nod and give him a hug.

"Ok let's go find a bench to watch the parade." He leads me farther out on the path and we sit in the grass. I watch the horses walk by.

Then he takes the bunny and starts making kiss noises when he touches my face with it. It tickles my nose. It has whiskers. He does it again and smiles at me. "Look there."

I look up and Tye is going by with his sister. I wave at them and they both wave back. She looks happy. She is jumping around all over. I hug the bunny and watch them.

I wish me and my brother could have done something like that together. Maybe he would have liked that too or maybe he would have been trying to throw me into the crowd so I got ripped apart.

Marcus gets up and walks over to Dipak when he comes back.

I lay down with the bunny and watch the clouds.

I must fall asleep.

I hear people cheering again and I open my eyes. I'm half laying on Dipak. He smiles at me. "Have a good nap?"

"Didn't know I was tired. Where's Marcus?"

"He's walking with Tye."

I nod and look around. The parade is coming again. I must have slept for a few hours.

I sit up and hold my bunny. Dipak rubs my back. Tye comes close and I don't even think he see's me. Then he looks at me and smiles. I wave to him.

He stops the carriage.

He walks over and kneels down in front of me. Then he hands me a flower. "How you doing babydoll?"

"I'm fine. Thank you for the flower."

"You're welcome. Did you win a bunny?"

"Yea, I like my bear more though."

He smiles. "You want your bear?"

I nod and my eyes fill up with tears.

"I'll go get it babydoll."

Dipak starts laughing. Then he looks at me. "I'll get it faster. He's busy."

Tre walks over. "You're both busy. What the hell are you doing?"

Dipak stands up. "We need the bear."

Kane and Marcus walk over. Kane looks at him. "They probably have it here. Just win a new one."

Marcus looks at me. "Or something even better."

I shake my head. "There's nothing better."

Dracul walks over all pissed off. "Seriously people. Look around. This is suspicious as hell. Tye get back on that carriage."

Dipak helps me up and puts his arm around me. "Let's go check out the games sweetheart."

The others nod and walk back to the carriage.
