88. Ask Marcus

After lunch we all go up to the deck. We leave the dock and start going again. It doesn't take long at all and we get to the open ocean. The waves get bigger and the boat rocks more. I run to the front and sit and watch for a bit. Dipak drops all the sails and we really start flying. It's amazing. Everyone just sits around watching for awhile. The wind and the sea spray. It's perfect.

Then Coral drags me and Thora back to the conference room.

I sit down and look around. "You know, we could move the table and chairs out of here. This would be the perfect spot to practice shifting. We can always conference somewhere else for the time being. We have a lot of rooms."

Thora nods. "That is true."

"Let's conference first though. We're already here. Back to the reasons why Elek likes you."

"He looked kind of sick last night before the wolf thing. It seems to really be bothering him that I thought he didn't like me."

"Yes it is. He said he's going to fix that. That's all he really said about it to me though. He's surely stressed about it."

Thora smiles. "He was really helpful with you last night. I heard him say you have a pretty face. While he was cleaning the blood off it anyways."

I start laughing and nod.

Coral stands up. "You know he likes you now. I can see it in your eyes. This is up to him to clean up now. Not us. Let's have this stuff moved out of here. We're work on your wolf shifting before everyone else figures out what we're doing and takes over the room."

I jump up. "Yes."

The 75th try later... I'm a dragon. I turn back to vampire and lay on the floor. "UGH"

Someone knocks on the door and Coral opens it rubbing her eyes. Elek and Dipak are standing there. They both look at me confused.

Dipak crosses his arms. "Are you in here practicing shifting?"

Thora jumps up. "That's exactly what we're doing. Go away. And don't tell anyone. She wanted some space to practice without everyone in her hair."

"So, how's it going?"

Coral looks at him. "Dragon 75. Werewolf 0. Bring some alcohol next time." She shuts the door in their faces.

We all crack up laughing.

Then they just open the door and walk in laughing.

Dipak squats down beside me. "Remember how I told you how to shift to a dragon the first time?"

I shake my head and rub my eyes.

He helps me up.

"Close your eyes." I close my eyes and take a breath. "Now imagine yourself as the wolf. Let it sink in a minute. The pretty white hair. The paws. Now step into it."

I take a step and open my eyes. I look down and see white paws. I start jumping up and down and I tackle him. I lick his head much. Then I throw myself down on him and rub all over him.

"Good girl." He rubs my back for a second then stands up.

The girls and Elek all crack up laughing. I look at him and cough. His hair is everywhere where I was licking him. I yipe at him and my tail is going crazy. I watch it for a second. It really does have a mind of its own.

"Now shift back. Imagine yourself in your human form. Those pretty fingers and toes. That long hair."

"Dipak, she'll be naked."

Dipak jumps up. Then he shoves Elek out the door with 1 push. Then he slams the door.

"I forgot all about that."
