Chapter 24

"This is a bad idea.." Kaleb sighed, knowing he'd follow along with the group either way. "Everyones set on their positions?" Liam asked.

The group nodded, Landon had even grabbed some garlic. "What is that suppose to do?" MG asked. "Its poison to Vampires" The boy explained, looking dumbfounded.

"Lan, you're reading the wrong stories" MG sighed, taking the garlic from him.

He frowned. "Here" Cleo handed everyone a vial. "Whats this?" Jed asked, opening the vial cluelessly. "Dont do that !" Cleo warned but it was too late. The air from the vial hit his eyes, burning his face. He dropped it, the small vial shattered as soon as it heat the ground spreading the wolfbane.

"Are you serious?" He asked. "Its a precaution. If we can appeal to her wolf side, she'd be weakened." The witch explained.

"Just in case, I invited Penelope along" MG announced, the girl moved from behind him waving her evil hand. "Great" Lizzie mumbled.

Hope wiped the blood off her knife with a rag, setting it aside. She had been torturing Ky all night, not letting him get a lick of rest. "Are you done?" He groaned, he had lost a finger in the mist of it all. The two of them coming to find out Vampires cant regenerate limbs.

"Not just yet" She smirked, sticking her hand through his chest and ripping his heart out within a second. She watched his body desiccate, the grey of his skin inhaling his face.

"Now I am" She smirked, dropping his heart to the floor. She wiped her hands off with the rag. Leaving the man there to be found by anyone.

She left the building, finding herself at a club. "ID please"

She flicked her wrist, snapping the body guards neck, watching as he collapsed to the ground.

She went to walk inside, an invisible force stopping her from entering. She groaned, remembering she was a Vampire now and had to be invited in. She looked at the dead body, wondering if he'd be a good snack.

She sighed, picking the lifeless man up and biting into his neck, draining him of the life he had left.

"Hope." The brunette stood before her, a kind look on her face. "How'd u find me?" The auburnette asked.

"Liam, he used black magic"

Hope sighed, dropping the mans body and walking off. "What are you doing at the club?" Jo asked, following the girl.

"None of ur business" Hope mumbled. "I have something to tell you" Jo spoke nervously, now walking beside the girl. "I dont want to hear it." She groaned.

"Remember when I told you I had a crush on you when we were younger?" She paused, wondering if the auburnnette would say anything but she didnt. "Its still there. I've liked you ever since we were young. I still like you, I might even be in love with you and its eating me up inside" She sighed, spilling her heart out made her cheeks turn a vibrant red. Hope paused, turning to face the girl. She thought of her answer for a moment, Jo had even gained hope. "I dont care." The girl moment emotionlessly.

The girl continued to walk, Jo still following her. "I do love you." She spoke, gathering confidence. "And I'll love you when you flip your switch back. I'll even love you the way you are now. Because you're my anchor too, you keep me grounded Hope. You're my everything"

The shorter girl froze completely. The Hope who was inside her head was pleading to be let out. To be able to tell Josie she felt the same, to tell the brunette she loved her too because she did. Against everything she told herself, against all her rules she loved Josie. She would always love her, even when she told herself she wouldnt.

But her fighting just made dark Hope angry. She pinned the brunette against the wall, her eyes flashing gold with threats.

Liam jumped in as quick as light, MG right behind him. The two went to attack her, but she spun around grabbing both their necks and shoving them into the concrete.

"I warned you to leave me alone." She spoke to the brunette. "I dont want my humanity back on. And since you're the problem. Since you all cant take a fucking hint. I'll just have to kill you."

"NO!" Theo threw the vervain on to the girl, her skin boiled in pain but she seemed to care less about it. Instead she turned around, holding the brunette twin with one arm and knocking Theo to the ground with the other.

Cleo mumbled some spells, Hope being the witch she was deflected them. Kaleb came from behind, Hopes hand dug into his chest without a second thought. His heart could be found in her hand. His body dropped to the ground.

"No.." Cleo cried, falling to her knees. "How could you !" She yelled, watching as Hope dropped his heart to the ground.

Maya pounced on her back, distracting her from the brunette who backed away. "Hope, just please come back to me. I need you here with me" Jo watched as Lizzie appeared, siphoning from Jed as she did. Her heart raced at the sight of Lizzie.

"I need you back, Hope." She begged, pleading for the girl to return to her. "I want those endless nights of cuddles. I want to hear that you love me back because I know—I just know you do"

Hope yanked the wolf off of her back, the ground cracked underneath her knocking Maya unconscious. "Shut up !" Hope demanded. It was anger, their plan was working.

"I'll always protect you. As you've protected everyone else." The brunette backed away with every step the Mikaelson took closer. Lizzie froze, listening to everything her twin was saying.

"Listen to me, really listen to me. I love you" She yelled, meaning every word she said.

Jed growled, charging at the girl and tackling her to the ground. She was distracted by Josies intrusive words. By her own feelings fighting to come to the surface.

"She gripped the boys throat, slowly pulling it to the side with her thumb. He groaned, thinking this was the end. But Jo had something planned out.

She pushed Jed to the side, pinning Hopes arms down. "Kiss me." She demanded. The auburnettes eyes could be seen softening, the brunette leaned in. Her lips collided with Hopes in a way she could never imagine actually happening.

Liam sat up, watching the scene unfold.

When Jo pulled away, Hope had tears in her eyes and a soft look on her face. "Welcome back, baby." The brunette spoke softly. Cleo could be heard crying in the distance, Kaleb cradled in her arms.

"I love you too." Hope spoke back, remembering all the things the brunette had said to her prior.

The brunette smiled, getting off of the girl. She helped her stand. The auburnette glanced around, her eyes landing on Kaleb.

"Did I..." She paused, Cleo looked to her with Vengeance and she had already known the answer. "It wasn't you" Liam rubbed her back, looking to the unpacked scene. "Thats the thing tho, it was me"
