Sadé's POV:

— December 5th

Today was a chilly Monday in December. It was 46 degrees, and I had just gotten back from running a quick errand at a store, and from getting my hair done. I had gotten a silk press because I couldn't be bothered to constantly make sure my curls looked good every morning, especially with my upcoming travels and work schedule. I took my shoes and coat off at the door, setting my purse down on the small table that held picture frames, car keys, and other little knick-knacks.

My makeup was done in it's typical glam. I had worn one of Marshall's orange & white shirts that had a cool design on it, which was very clearly big on me, a pair of distressed blue jeans, and my orange Nike Dunks that Marshall bought me not that long ago. I paired it with a cute matching Chanel shoulder bag, a faux-fur orange coat, and my custom pair of pink shades despite it practically being winter... All I have to say to excuse that is that it's a free promotion for my brand. I had to tease the public about my moves without saying anything before its release. I had asked one of the security guards who looks over Marshall's home to take my picture earlier to post to Instagram, which he did. So I posted the flick and went about my day since I wasn't working on anything today.

I went into the kitchen with my one grocery bag, sitting it on the counter. I had purchased a few candles and some takeout containers. I had decided to bring Marshall some food and visit him at work today for a while. I didn't want to be a bother, but I did want to do something nice for him. Not for any specific reason. I was simply in a great mood. I was feeling really happy, was in high spirits, and was just in smiles all around. I was feeling lovey-dovey, and I wasn't mad at it; I couldn't be anymore because I felt free now that I had told Marshall the truth about the depths of my feelings toward him.

I glanced over at the clock seeing it was already 3:48 in the afternoon. I got all the ingredients and seasonings together, preparing to cook my heart out. I lit a Christmas-scented candle that I placed on the countertops, washed my hands, and started playing music from my playlist on my phone.

I then started cooking, putting love into every ounce. I started with the french fries, rinsing the potatoes off, peeling them, and letting them soak in water with a pinch of salt. While that was left to soak, I opened a package of thawed ground beef. I mixed two eggs, the beef, and the seasonings: Chili powder, cumin, dried basil, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. I kneaded it all together until it was perfectly combined - Not too much of one ingredient in a certain bite versus the other. I scooped them into balls and then pressed down on them to flatten them out to make the normal shape of a burger, a circle.
