Sadé's POV:— Monday
It was the 12th of December, meaning it was time to get into the Christmas spirit. The holiday was 13 days away, and I have still yet to do any real shopping in preparation of the holiday. Plus, Hailie's birthday lands on the same day as Christmas so I had to find her a gift for both. I had dedicated my day to shopping for the house and to buying presents for everyone special in my life.
Marshall obviously already had decorations from previous years tucked away in his garage, but he said that I could get more if I wanted to that was more to my liking. I decided that I was only going to get a few things, not sticking to a theme other than it having to look cute and cozy. I grabbed some new stockings that had our initials on it as well as the initials of his girls. I also added some glass ornaments, mistletoes, and stocking stuffers in the Target cart that I was pushing around. This being one of my favorite times of the year, I tried not to go too overboard, but of course I was going to fill my cart up until I felt I couldn't fit anymore items inside of it.
I had just turned into the beauty section of the store, browsing the isles. I was in the middle of smelling some products when I heard my phone ring. I pulled out my phone from my purse quickly, noticing that it was a call from Camilla, my realtor that Jo hooked me up with. I courtly answered the phone, greeted by a rather joyful woman.
"Hello, Sadé." She greeted me joyously, "How are you?"
"I'm great. How are you Camilla?" I politely answered.
"I'm doing wonderful on this fine Monday afternoon. And you will be too soon." She teased excitedly.
"Huh?" I questioned, not understanding what she meant by that.
I had a feeling, but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Because if it wasn't what I thought or hoping it was going to be, then I was going to be bummed out.
"Miss Myers, congratulations! You're a homeowner!" She explained.
"WHAT?! NO WAY." I accidentally screamed out loud in disbelief, earning myself a few stares from the other shoppers.
"Yup! Everything went through successfully, and the property owner signed off on the contract this morning. The deal is closed, the house is yours, mamas!" She said proudly.
"OH MY GOD!!" I squealed into the phone.
I was trying my very best to not seem absolutely insane to the public, but I was way too excited. Ya' girl is officially a homeowner! I was tapping my feet against the ground excitedly as I let out a small squeal of sheer happiness as I shut my eyes. I was too thrilled. I need to call Alabama and tell her the news. Oh my goodness, I need to call Marshall. I need to tell him too. And Jo. And Hailie. I just needed to share the news with somebody and anybody because I couldn't contain myself right now.
I thanked Camilla for all of her work and help through the process and promised to keep in touch if I ever needed anything else real estate related. I hung up the phone, promptly dialing MarMar's contact afterwards. After a few rings he picked up.
"What's up, pretty girl. Everything alright?" He said into the phone nonchalantly, making me get all giddy inside at the nickname that he had given me a while ago way before we even started dating officially.
"Yess, everything is fine. Are you busy right now?" I asked not wanting to disturb his work.
"I was until you called, but it's fine. I'm here now so me what's got you so cheerful." He said.
