Chapter 19

The person Taehyung saw in front of him was the person he had hoped to never encounter again, nor did he expect to see him here, in this place where he ran away to.

He just stood there, eye wide in surprise, the bad one.

Jungkook noticing, puts a hand on Taehyungs cheek, facing him and asking if he's ok.

"Y-ye-yes, l-let's j-just g-go, please." Taehyung mumbled while looking down.

Jungkook nodded and moved his hand to Taehyung's back and started to walk to the other side.

"Already going? c'mon let's catch up." The stranger said, Jungkook sensing him close catches his hand that is about to touch Taehyung's shoulder with a glare and says "don't touch him.", voice intimidating.

Taehyung now found himself in Jungkook's embrace as the other instinctively pulled him closer by the waist, his scent calming him down a bit.

"Hey now, no need to be so overprotective whoever you are, just trying to be friendly." The other said hands in the air in a disrespecting manner and a fake fear with a smugly smile.

"J-Jungkook, I w-want to go home." Taehyung whispered, the only thing that keeps him from getting a panic attack is Jungkook's scent though the discomfort and fear in his scent still remains and Jungkook doesn't like it one bit.

They once again attempt to go but a shout stops them.

"Hey! no one ignores me, I wanted to have a friendly talk with an old friend, stop being possessive." The other growls.

"A friend? his reaction doesn't seem like one that says you're his friend.

Don't bother him or I swear I'll kill you, dare even look at him and I'll rip your eyes off." Jungkook's voice was intimidating, threat is heard in his voice and is seen in his expression.

Jungkook was now holding Taehyung closer, Taehyung held Jungkook's shirt tightly and sniffled it, trying hard not to cry as seeing him making all the memories he's been trying to suppress going on the surface.

The stranger let out a bitter laugh and said "It may be it for now Taehyung, but we'll see each other around again now that I found you." and with that he walked away not letting the other reply.

"No you're not." Jungkook growled and now all his attention is pointed at Taehyung before glaring at the other with hatred one last time.

"Hey Tae, look at me." Jungkook said cupping Taehyung's face in his own and making him look at him, his eyes are shiny due to tears that has been swelling up, he bites his lips to try and hold back the tears and Jungkook hates this look on his face.

Even at this situation, Taehyung's heart flutters by the nickname.

"I'll b-be fine, I'll t-tell you at home, what happened, y-you deserve t-to know w-why I've b-been s-so cold t-to you at the start." Taehyung sniffles, looking in Jungkook's eyes who were looking at him calmly but there's a pain hidden there.

The pain of seeing his mate about to cry, thinking what he might've been through, he doesn't want to think about it.

"Ok, let's go home." He said with a calm voice, starting to walk back home holding Taehyung close to him, a hand on his waist ever so securing.

Taehyung keep sniffing here and there, trying to calm down and by the time they're at Jungkook's home he's calmer.

The second the door closes behind them Taehyung jumps on Jungkook, his nose making it's way to Jungkook's neck to sniffle the scent, the pine scent makes him calm and happy.
