As Jungkook was taking a walk in the same park that Taehyung and Jimin were in to pass his time and relax, he suddenly smelled a sweet scent of strawberry mixed with vanilla.
At that moment, he knew had found his mate because he had a strong feeling that if he'll follow this scent, he'll find his mate, and the people around didn't seem to react to it the same way he does.
Following that scent, Jungkook was now in front of a boy with fluffy black hair which was so beautiful in his eye.
He examined every inch of him trying to maintain all of his features, from his feet to his face.
When Jungkook got to his face he examined every inch of them, from his chin to his kissable lips, to the nose that he would like to kiss every day, to his cheeks that he would like to cup gently yet lovingly, to just stare at his beautiful eyes, and the hair that he wants to play with.
Unconsciously, Jungkook sent a hand towards Taehyung's cheek when he was startled by a scream
of "don't touch me!" it took a moment for Jungkook to realize it's from his mate and before he could act, he was pushed by someone who he assumed was an omega and fell to the floor while that omega went to Taehyung who was now on the grass scared.
Taehyung and the other omega went out of there quickly leaving a confused Jungkook to figure out what just happened led by "don't get close to him freak!"
This was definitely not what Jungkook had expected from his first meeting with his mate.
He was woken up from his thoughts when the scent was gone and the feeling of the hot floor against his butt and hands and realized that his mate was already gone.
Jungkook quickly ran through the park looking for his mate but to no success.
Hours went by and it was already evening.
Jungkook realized long ago that he wouldn't find his mate but the little hope he had of finding him was too strong for him to fight and thus he kept searching for him until evening.
Jungkook now had to give up because he knew he won't find him today and went home.
When Jungkook arrived at his house he went straight to his bedroom to change into his pajamas and laid on his bed.
'I knew when I was going to be 18 I would be able to recognize my mate.
I thought it would be that we'll both recognize each other but my mate being scared of me was not even in the depth of my mind.
And I don't even know his name, but he was so beautiful and smelled really good.
Can't wait to meet him again.'.
And with that Jungkook has drifted to sleep.
