chloe unlocked the front door being greeted by poseidon who meowed loudly making her smile, "hi my sweet nephew". she cooed leaning over to run his head gently. "hals? where you at". she asked making her way upstairs. "halle". she sang softly opening their bedroom door.
chloe smiled taking her phone off to snap a photo of halle who slept soundly beside melody who held tightly onto her mother's finger, "awww y'all are giving me unwanted ideas". she whispered feeling a hand brush against her stomach.
chloe let out a loud scream clearly startling before quickly turning around slapping clay across the face, "jesus remind me to never sneak up on you again". he whined rubbing his throbbing red cheek, "i am so sorry". she whispered watching him turn the lights on.
melody who was also startled awake from the noise began crying softly, "shit my sister is gonna kill you clay". she mumbled placing the bag of food on the bed before grabbing melody who's cries only got louder.
"where's her pacifier?". he asked glancing around the room, seeing it on the nightstand clay grabbed it before gently placing it into her mouth. "i'm sorry baby jackman". he teased gazing into his niece light eyes.
melody spit her pacifier out only wailing louder awakening halle who whined fluttering her eyes open, "what's going on?". she asked forcing herself upwards, she'd got little to no sleep last night due to melody wanting to be right up under her the whole night.
it was very evident she was becoming more and more attached to halle only making it harder for halle to do almost everything without her daughter crying out for her.
"sissy if you're gonna kill someone let that person be clay". chloe quickly said flashing clay a petty smile making him laugh lowly "fuck you meanie". he playfully spat "give me my baby sis".
chloe handed melody to her mother making her cries die down almost immediately, "jesus you doesn't let me do anything without you". halle thought staring down at her daughter who stare innocently up at her.
using her thumb halle wiped melody's tears before pecking her forehead "she's starting to look more like you hals". chloe said watching halle stand up with melody in her arms.
"i-i have to take a shower i'm so exhausted can you please watch her for me?". halle asked gently shoving melody into her sister's arms.
"her bottles are in the refrigerator, just wrap her in this blanket and she'll calm down i just need to relax for a moment".
