inhaling a deep frustrating breath halle gazed down at her newborn daughter who wouldn't stop screaming and crying,"please stop crying melody what's wrong my baby". she softly said feeling the urge to cry herself, gently placing melody on the bed halle began undoing her onesie leaving her only in a diaper.
rubbing her stomach softly halle placed her hands beside melody's head looking down at her with face of concern, she couldn't understand what was wrong with her daughter.
"melody please shut the fuck up!". halle screamed startling melody who cried harder, standing upright halle rubbed the sides of her head feeling a headache forming, she barely got any sleep these days because of the nightmares of the car accident.
walking over to the nightstand she grabbed melody's pacifier before shoving it gently into her mouth, using her thumb halle wiped the fallen tears from her daughter's face. "are you finish now melody?". she sarcastically spat rolling her eyes.
spitting her pacifier out melody screams bounced off the quiet bedroom walls, taking a seat beside her halle's leg bounced as she attempted to calm down burying her face into her hands she listened to melody who had began coughing from the intense crying she was currently doing.
exhaling a deep breath halle glanced over at her daughter before abruptly standing up pacing her bedroom floor "melody please stop crying for mommy! i-i don't know how to make you feel better". halle choked out as tears ran down her face.
"thank you for dropping me off". chloe softly said smiling at clay who nodded "it's no problem chloe don't forget to tell halle about the good news".
pulling her into a hug clay held chloe tightly before pulling away "wait let me get the door for you!". he quickly said stepping out the car walking over to open the passenger's side.
"m'lady". clay spoke in a fake british accent holding his hand out "boy you play too much". chloe said smiling as she grasped his larger hand allowing him to help her out the car
"thank you".
"s-see you tomorrow". clay nervously spoke gazing into chloe's warm eyes "okay boo see you tomorrow". she replied before the two did their handshake.
clay watched until chloe got into the house safely before pulling off "hals? sorry for taking forever to get back hopefully melody wasn't giving you to much trouble".
"also i got you some food hals!". chloe shouted hearing noises from upstairs, putting the bag of food on the kitchen countertop she made her way upstairs now hearing her niece's loud cries.
