"ma i'm fine seriously". jack tiredly says irritated with his mother's nagging "where's halle! can someone please go get wife for me". clay suddenly stood from his chair by the window making his way over towards the front door swinging it open. "hey boo". chloe softly says glancing at jack who quickly sat up in the bed ignoring the slight pains he was currently experiencing.
"hey chloe did you bring halle?". he asked hopeful "of course i did boo". she softly says stepping aside before halle appeared practically sprinting to his hospital bed.
maggie decided to have a seat beside her husband allowing the couple to have their moment, "jackman!". halle choked out grabbing the sides of his face "y-your okay". jack smiled placing his hand over hers before pecking her lips. "yes i am baby". he whispered before pulling her to straddle his lap "jackman your parents are here".
shrugging his shoulders jack smiled at halle who blushed nervously ran her hands down jack's chest "god i-i've missed you so much these last few weeks have been horrible". she cried.
jack's hand accidentally touched halle's flat stomach "hals". he asked with hesitated gazing into her warm eyes "did melody make it?".
halle smiled softly "baby close your eyes for me". jack did as told shutting his eyes before halle walked over towards chloe who held the car seat with a sleeping melody inside.
unbuckling her from the car seat halle held melody securely in her arms before walking over to sit beside her husband, maggie eyes widen in shock glancing at her granddaughter she hadn't seen until now.
pulling the blanket back halle kissed jack's cheek making his eyes flutter open "oh my god i-is this melody?".
"yes this is our daughter curly". jack gazed over her facial features in awe, she was a perfect blend of both her parents she more so looked like halle with jack's gentle eyes.
"do you wanna hold her baby?". she asked "i-i don't want to hurt her". waving him off halle gently placed melody in jack's arms "wow she's so beautiful halle". he whispered in awe.
the couple watched their daughter slowly flutter her eyes open "s-she has my eyes hals". he whispered feeling tears well in his eyes. "thank you so much for giving me a daughter baby".
jack leaned over kissing halle's cheek making her smile "i hope she doesn't fall back into that dark space again". chloe whispered to clay who nodded in agreement.
