Chapter 11

Perrie POV

It's been a few months since Jade took me out on Valentine's Day. She and I have become closer ever since. She was an amazing person, she was kind, understanding, respectful, caring, loving, ridiculously smart, and so many more.

We would constantly share stories, hang out together, and Facetime each other because of how much she hates texting and her wanting to see me when we talked, we would cheer each other up whenever the other was having a bad day, etc. All of the things that we do make us care even more about each other. Makes us closer. I think she became my best friend. Yes, Jade Thirlwall is my best friend.

Jade POV

Ugh, I really hate Monday. One, my car broke down when I was going to work this morning forcing me to walk to work for like a mile or so, two because my car broke down, I was late to a meeting with a colleague which makes them think that I'm not committed to the partnership, three, my wifi was broken, and four, everyone was busy. Leigh-Anne was out on a date with Andre and would be back at noon, Lauren was probably with Camila in the studio because she was on another holiday and those two Latina were inseparable. Perrie and Camila were busy with work. The label was pushing them to make new songs and all, and I got no work left so I was bored out of my mind.

Oh and to top it all off, the worst of them all, I was stuck in the friendzone. I kept dropping hints to Perrie and she never, ever took any hint. I seriously have no idea what else to do.

I was packing up my stuff deciding to leave early. "Anne, do I have anything on today's schedule?" While I packed everything. "Uh no, you're pretty much free for the day," she said. "Okay well I'm gonna leave early then, so see you tomorrow," I said walking out of my office. "You too jade,".

I was going to hang out with them at noon around 5 to watch a movie but it was only 11 AM right now. I think I'm gonna die of boredom if I go home with no work or anything. You know what? I'm just gonna go to Perrie's studio and get some lunch with her.

I went to my car which was already fixed now. I dropped it at the workshop earlier which was why I was late this morning and luckily it wasn't something serious. so I drove off and picked Perrie up.

There I was in front of the studio. You might imagine that the studio would be big and fancy but no it's not, it's a small studio. She bought the studio when she just started her singing career. She and Camila actually. Perrie and Camila always wanted to have a studio of their own and even though it wasn't luxurious they said it was how the journey began.

They said recently they want a bigger studio but are not ready to let this one go so they stick to what they have. I'm amazed at how they are so humble and passionate about what they do. And how even though they have money now, they didn't turn to be arrogant or greedy or anything is just amazing. They all do. That's why I like hanging out with them.

I called Lauren and she picked up after the second ring.

"Hello,"

"Hey Laur are you free right now?"

"Yeah, I'm actually on my way to the studio to get lunch with Camila, why?" See? Inseparable.

"Great I was thinking the same thing. I was about to ask Perrie, and also I'm in front of the studio, so see you here,"

"Oh okay, I'll see you there,"

And then I hung up, got out of my car, and smoked for a bit while I waited for Lauren to arrive.

I saw Lauren's car pulled off and it was 11.40 AM "Yo Jade, let's go I'm starving,". "Okay let's go,"

We went inside, and what the hell did I see here? I saw Perrie with a guy in the hallway and he was touching her hair, I didn't know what happened but I felt like I was on fire seeing how touchy he was with her. "If looks can kill, he is probably dead by now," Lauren said beside me.

"What?" I said, I don't know what she was talking about.

"Well you were glaring at him like you want to kill him," she said to me "Okay one, I wasn't glaring, two, why is he playing with her hair?" she scoffed at me.

"Sure you weren't," as she rolled her eyes. "And don't ask me, it's not my hair that he's playing with,"

We went to Perrie and Lauren said hi to her first before I did. She didn't even realize that I was here, why would she? She was probably busy letting a guy play with her hair. "Hey Pez,".

"Jade? Hi babe what are you doing here?" oh yes, she called me babe many times but the truth is I hate it when she does because I don't want the best friend kind of babe, I want more. She was really confusing one moment she was cute and cuddly and stuff and the next I'm just the best friend, like come on woman you are driving me insane here.

"Lauren and I are taking you two girls to lunch," I said as I hugged her. "Are you now?" She said looking up at me while getting comfortable in my arms. "Yes, Lauren is with Camila now, so come on we got to go," I said with our faces close to each other's. You see, Perrie is 3 cm taller than me but whenever she hugs me she often hangs on to me for some reason which makes me taller than her. I don't know why, but she said she likes to hug me that way. I found it cute actually, I love it every time she does that because it makes me feel like I'm her partner.

"Okay. Let me just grab my bag and fetch those two before they end up naked on top of each other," with that she walked back into the studio

We were chatting and eating when Lauren spoke. "Anyone wants a dessert?" And the two girls told her what dessert they wanted. "Okay, Jade come on and help me," she said kicking me on my shin and signaling me to follow her. So I got up and followed her to the cashier.

"Why'd you have to kick me in the shin dude, that hurt," I said, it hurts, I just played it cool in front of Perrie.

"Don't be ridiculous I didn't even kick you that hard, also I want to talk about Perrie. You like her even more, do you? Hell, you probably fell for her," she said before ordering the desserts. "What are you talking about, how come I fell for her when she's not even with me?"

" dude, I saw the way you look at her and how you were really pissed when you saw that guy playing with Perrie's hair, and I noticed how you've been acting around Perrie. When you saw her doing something you looked sad but sometimes you smiled even though she wasn't looking at you, and then when she was around, like when she hugged you or just talked about things she was excited about, you looked really happy" she said and I took a deep breath. I didn't even know that I acted weird.

"I just don't think it's love okay? but yes I do like her. She just confuses me, one moment she beings cute, clingy, caring, and loving but then she puts me back in the friend zone," I explained and boy did that feel relief.

"Okay, but my advice is, think about whether you love her or not, like really think. And no matter if you love her or not, just tell her how you feel. She is probably just as confused as you are," she said as I saw the order was almost done.

"What if she's not ready Laur? I don't want to push her or make things weird," as the waitress gave us our order.

"Just think about it okay?" she said as we walked back to our table.

We continued our lunch and I kept thinking of what Lauren said. It was just things have been great despite the confusion but other than that, everything has been great.

Great, more thinking to do. But Lauren's words kept playing in my head. Is it possible though? That I Love her? What am I supposed to do? fuck this woman was going to be the death of me.
