Walking into school, Kayla could recognise everyone's faces. Debbie from science  who's always trying to copy her work, Andrew from maths who is always sleeping, no matter what time of day it is, and then Spencer. Ruby's boyfriend. I mean he's a nice guy but oh my god. He is ALWAYS getting on Kayla's nerves, and he ain't even in any of her classes! 'I'm surprised how Ruby even likes him' she's thinking to herself.

'Hey babe, want me to walk you to class?' He said, with a smirk on his face. Ew. 'Of course I will, see you later Kay' Ruby said as she strode away with Spencer's arm around her waist.

Completely trying to ignore what just happened, Kayla goes to her first lesson, music. The music room is huge, as soon as you open those doors everything echoes, with posters of musicians.. poets.. even Miss Sharp, the music teacher, holding an award of some sort. Whatever that award is, if it led her to this school then that award was worth nothing. As soon as she walked in, the bell went off for first lesson, so she was already on time, as always.

'Miss Cooper! Welcome, please take your seat.' Miss sharp said enthusiastically. 'Heads up, I'm seating a new kid next to you, he is coming in this morning and since you are my top student, I figured he could learn a lot from you!'

Kayla just nodded while she sat down in her chair, then all the other students walked in all chatting in groups. Kayla and Ruby weren't in any classes together, so seeing all those friends, going to class and talking to each other while coming in.. it just made her feel even more lonely.. the closest person she had in that class was Miss Sharp. Which was soon going to change..

'Welcome class! Today we will be getting straight on to practicing on our instruments, you all know what ones you will be using by now so chop chop and go! Any questions you know where to find me' Miss Sharp said as she went to sit behind her desk.

Just as Kayla was heading towards the piano, the doors slammed open.

Through the doors walked in the one guy she didn't expect. The guy from this morning.. the one she couldn't take her eyes off.. the one who's in her school.. the one who's in her music class.. the one who will be sitting next to her the entire semester.

Kayla's heart kept going faster and faster as he walked in, everyone's eyes on him.. especially the girls' eyes. None of them would look away.. but then again neither would Kayla.

He walked up to Miss Sharp's desk and waited for her to notice him. As she looked up, away from her phone she was shocked to see this person. Tattoos on his arm, scar on his left cheek. This kid did not look like a kid to her. 'And you are..' she said hesitantly.

Everyone still shocked and the room so quiet. Nobody was speaking, nobody at all. Not until a voice, a voice so deep that we all heard it as it echoed throughout the room. 'Parker Monroe.'
