Kayla woke up once again, but something was different, Parker was all she could think about. 'This stays between me and you' she'd repeat this every five minutes just so she could never forget the moment. 'Me and you..' it's always been just her, but ever since Parker walked through those doors, everything's changed.

RINGGG RINGG it was Ruby.

'Kayla where are you it's 7:43! You were supposed to come to my house, what are you doing?!' It took a moment for her to actually process what Ruby's talking about, her alarm didn't go off.

'NO NO NO, THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, I have never been late, what the heck, I'll meet you at school!', Kayla quickly hung up the call and jumped out of bed to get ready. Nobody has ever seen her get ready that quick.

Kayla Cooper is used to her normal school day routine:
6:30 : Alarm goes off
6:35 : wakes up properly and gets out of bed to get dressed
6:50 : finishes getting dressed and goes to do her hair
7:00 : goes downstairs to eat breakfast
7:15 : goes back upstairs to brush her teeth
7:20 : grabs her backpack from her bedroom and goes to put shoes and coat on
7:30: out the door and on her way to meet Ruby
7:40: at Ruby's house
7:55: leaves Ruby's house to walk to school
8:15 : SCHOOL OPENS (CLOSES AT 8:30)
So according to her routine, she is very behind. VERY.

Kayla ran downstairs with her hair in a messy bun, backpack thrown towards the door and put her shoes on midway, with her laces barely in a tight knot.

7:58AM
'Kayla you'll be late' Her mother said with no care in the world. Kayla didn't bother responding to her mothers stupid little sly comments and just pulled the fridge door wide open, grabbed a breakfast bar, and ate as quickly as she could, it was already 7:58 and it takes 30mins just to get to the school from her house, which is why she'd always go with Ruby cause her house was closer.

'Mum can you please drop me off I'm gonna be late!', she said as she chucked the wrapper of her bar in the rubbish. 'I can't I'm dropping of Freddie, you know that.'

Kayla always knew Freddie came first no matter what, even though she literally came first from her mother but never mind.

Freddie's school doesn't open until 8:45 which was really just a stupid excuse her mother made. Kayla sighed and ran upstairs to brush her teeth.

8:06AM
By the time she came running back down it was already 8:06 and the school would close in 24mins, which is not enough time. She would just have to face having detention. Whenever Ruby wasn't in or couldn't make it to school for some reason, her back up would always be her dad, but he was at work for an emergency.

8:09AM
Kayla ran out the door saying bye, and just as she started speed walking down the street, a car started slowing up right down beside her.

Her entire body froze in shock, but she still kept walking trying to ignore the car. Her heart was racing, thinking to herself 'not again.. not again..'

The car window slowly came down and out came a voice. 'Hey piano girl' Kayla stopped and turned to see it was Parker. Of course.. it was him. 'Looks like you need a ride.'
