Friday 24th May

7:48AM
It was a nice and beautiful morning. Many clouds in the sky forming all types of different shapes. The sky was crystal blue and the sun had made its way through the windows and into the Cooper house. Today will be a good day, Kayla thought.

"Waffles are ready come and get them while they're still warm!" Mr Cooper yelled, not noticing the time and that everyone was supposed to be leaving in a bit.

"Thomas, we need to go soon but thank you for the lovely breakfast." Mrs Cooper said eating a piece of waffle as quickly as she could.

Kayla was already done and ready to go. She got her hair done in a half up-half down ponytail, adding a nice little red headband accessory making her look a bit like Matilda from the front. She wore a lavender type of dress because the weather was just too hot.

Her phone had pinged off and it was Parker telling her he was outside her house. She had said goodbye to the family and as she was about to close the door on the way out, Freddie came and gave her a tiny gummy bear bracelet. "What's this Fred?"

"I made it for you last night. I want you to wear it, it's not much but at least if you get hungry you have a few gummy bears to snack on."

Kayla said thank you and gave Freddie a hug, she put the bracelet on and walked over to Parker's car where he was waiting in. Parker wore his usual, trousers and denim. It would be concerning for him not to wear it.

"Hey piano girl, cute bracelet." He said turning the engine on and getting ready to pull off from the curb.

"Thank you very much, it's one of a kind"

"We'll you're a one of a kind girl so it suits you" he said with a smirk.

8:16AM
Parker had pulled up to a parking space near the front of the school because he knew Kayla's music exam was today and he knew she'd want some time to practice. "I'll see you in music, piano girl."

They both parted ways, him to the lockers and her to the music room. He turned around to see Kayla fading away but his smile was still intact. Today will be a good day, Parker thought.

He turned back to face the lockers and as he was walking towards them, at the corner of his eyes he saw Ruby and Spencer whispering to each other about something. He didn't care what they were going to plan, him and Kayla knew each others secrets now so what more could Ruby and Spencer do.

Ruby looked over at Parker, "I have something in mind that'll end their relationship once and for all."

"No offence but you've said that every single day now, just leave them alone it's getting boring." Spencer said closing his locker up.

"Excuse me? He fought with you! I'm just trying to help you Spencer."

"He fought with me on Monday! I don't hold a grudge like you do. If you're gonna do something leave me out of it." He walked away leaving Ruby on her own.

"I don't care what you have to say. Today will be a good day, I 'll make sure of it." she whispered to herself.

9:34AM
It was second period and music had already started, each student had to do the music exam except Parker cause of how he just joined the following week.

He walked over to Kayla who was sitting down next to the piano, practicing over and over. "Hey piano girl how you doing?"

"Really not feeling like a piano girl right now Parker. I'm supposed to do a piece that nobody's ever done in this school. Miss Sharp said I'll be fine but I really don't feel fine."

"It's alright Kayla, I've seen you play, loads of times in fact! You are incredible. Don't doubt yourself." He gave her a kiss on the cheek before Miss Sharp told everyone to come to her one by one. Alphabetical order from surnames.

"Alphabetical order! No no no I'm a Cooper. I'm a C! I'm gonna be up soon!" She said her heart beating ever so fast.

"Hey hey so what you'll be great, you can do it ok.." Parker held her hands until she relaxed.

"Aww so cute. When your done with Kayla remember I'd still be available.." Scarlett Davidson said as she walked past.

"Yea.. no thanks. I'm sticking with Kayla, I'm sure you can find someone else who'd like you.. the way I like her.."

"You make me sick Parker." She said storming off.

9:41AM
"Kayla Cooper!" An echo called out within the room.

She got up from her seat and felt many stares on her. She didn't want to look to see if she was right, she just wanted to get the exam over and done with. Her heart beat increased with every step she took.

"Hello dear how have you been today?" Miss Sharp said as Kayla sat down.

"Umm good.. I've.. been good." She said with a stutter.

"That's good! Now remember I will be recording the piece and sending it off the the examiners but I wish you luck and I know you'll do well!"

As she went on her laptop and tapped on a new file to record in, Kayla turned her body slowly to see all the other students in the room getting on with their work. She looked over in Parker's direction to see him giving her the two thumbs up.

She smiled at him and felt at ease with the exam. "Ok are you ready dear?"

Kayla nodded and laid her hands out on the piano, positioning them on the first notes of the piece. She played fluently, the tempo and the dynamics of the piece were absolutely outstanding. Every new chord was in time, the pedal was used correctly. It was enchanting, she let loose and forgot about where she was.

As soon as she started playing all she could do was think of when Parker had taken her to the forest. To love and be loved was to feel the sun from both sides. What she felt while playing was love. The best love was the kind that awakens the soul; that's what Parker had done for her. He was her dream come true.

The chances of meeting him on this planet were like finding a needle in a haystack - a miracle happened.

It's amazing how one day someone walks into your life, and then the next day you wonder how you lived without them. There was her heart, and then there was Parker, and she wasn't sure if there was a difference. She looked over at Parker while she was playing and she saw the rest of her life in front of her eyes.

"Beautiful, so elegant.. thank you Kayla" she had come back to reality as the piece finished up.

She hurried on back to her seat next to Parker where he did a little clap for her, "good job piano girl"

"Well it was pretty easy all I had to do was think about something else other than my worries."

"And what might I ask were you thinking of?" Clearly knowing the answer to that.

"You of course"

They both started laughing and soon enough the time went on much quicker and it was eventually next class.
