"But then you would miss your birthday pancakes" Zane bribed. I sat up with wide eyes and an excited grin.
"Happy birthday storm" he smiled.
"Thank you Zane! I'll quickly get ready now" I said and pushed him out the room, hearing him chuckle as I closed the door. Thanks to Nya, who went shopping with me a few days prior, I had the perfect outfit to wear for today!

I styled my hair and did a clean makeup look before heading downstairs to the kitchen. "Happy birthday breezy" Cole exclaimed and engulfed me in a massive bear hug. Luckily, he was a good foot taller than me so my face only just reached his chest; perfect for hiding my blushing face.
"Thanks rocky" I replied. We walked into the kitchen were I was wished a happy birthday from everyone. We then sat down and enjoyed Zane's cooking. He really went all out. There's: fruit salads, cereal, eggy bread, croissants, cheese boards, toast, sausages, bacon, and my all time favourite... pancakes. Zane does them every year for my birthday and they're to die for!
"How's your birthday so far y/n/n?" Jay asked.
"Really good ", I mumbled, "even better now I've had my birthday pancakes. Fuck, they're heavenly".
"Language!" Zane scolded.
"Sorry mum" I laughed and rolled my eyes.
"Hey breezy " Cole said so I turned to look at him, "you have a little something". He reached over and wiped the corner of my mouth with his thumb, then putting his thumb in his mouth to clean it; never breaking eye contact.
"Ew, gross! Get a room!" Lloyd yelled, making everyone laugh. I turned back around to face Jay with wide eyes, only to see him already looking at me with a knowing smirk. "Told you" he mouthed.
"Okay", Nya announced, "time for presents".

I was loving today. Everyone got me lovely presents and I was so happy. Here's what I got: from Lloyd and Sensei - a new gi, from Kai- a new katana, from Nya- some makeup and skincare, from Cole - a photo of us, from Jay- a photo of us. Now it's Zane's turn and he had a rather large box in his hands. I was quite curious as it had holes cut in it on the toland around the sides, not big enough to see though though.

"Happy birthday little sister " Zane spoke softly and carefully handed me the box. I placed it on my knee and took the lid off to peer inside.
"Oh my-" . My sentence was cut off by a soft sob escaping my lips. I reached inside and pulled out a Ragdoll kitten. A chorus of awww's went around the room as he curled himself in the palm of my hand.

"You've always mentioned how much you wanted a kitten, specifically the ragdoll breed. So I thought I would get you one" Zane explained.
"Thank you so much Zane! I love you more than you imagine!"
"What are you going to call him?" Kai questioned.
"Well, considering his colour and my love for the food. I'm gonna call him Pancake!" I announced.
"That's perfect!" Lloyd laughed, the rest of us joining in. The rest of the day was spent cuddling and playing with Pancake.
