Enid's POV:

It's 1 am and I can't sleep.

"Wednesday, are you awake?" I whisper.

I hear a groan.

"Sinclair, let me sleep." She responds with a tired, raspy voice.

"It's just that... I can't sleep."

"Given that you had a 3 hour nap, I can't say I'm surprised."

"Ugh, Wednesday. I can't sleep!"

"What do you expect me to do, Sinclair? Sing you a lullaby? Give you warm milk? Read you a bed time story? I think you are capable of sleeping by yourself."

"I'd like any of those things, actually."

I hear her scoff.

"I'll rest, just leave me alone." She quietly says.

"You're mean." I mutter.

"That hurts my feelings." She says in a cold, sarcastic tone.

"Can we talk for a bit? Maybe I'll sleep then."

"Are you calling me boring?" She asks.

"Of course not! I just want to talk to you."

She sighs.

"Just for a bit, Sinclair."

I softly smile. I glance over her side, but I can't see her in the dark.

"What do you want to talk about?" She asks.

"Mmh." I replied. "Maybe about you and Xavier?"

"Why specifically that?"

"You know that I love gossip!" I exclaim.

"Sure. What do you want to know about?"

"Are you guys... dating?"

"Sinclair, you're quite funny."

"I'm serious!"

"We are not." She answers. "I would never date such a fool like him."

"Have you ever liked him? Like, not even a little?"

"Perhaps a tiny, minuscule bit. But that clearly faded away."

"Do you have a type?"

"I don't believe I do, but I have noticed myself being often drawn to psychotic killers."

"Ah, that's definitely interesting!" I giggle.

"Are you laughing at me, Sinclair? That's rich coming from you."

"Hey! How so?"

"You are dating - what Yoko calls - a himbo."

"He is totally not! He is a smart guy. Also, what is Yoko teaching you?"

"Sinclair, don't flatter him. He stoned himself and then ditched you."

"It was an accident, Wednesday!"

"I would never do such embarrassing thing to you."

"Well- wait, what do you mean?"

She stays silent.

"Wednesday?" I whisper.

"We should sleep."

"But-"

"I feel tired. Good night, Sinclair. Don't stay up for too long."
