After Min-Sun hung up with Jia she all but ran to where she was. Jia mentioned a restaurant to Min-Sun before they hung up, and when she finally got there she went inside to look for her. The place was lavish compared to many places Min-Sun had been to. On one side was a bar with all different sorts of wine and imported liquor, and above were chandeliers scattered above to provide just the right amount of lighting.
Looking around the whole area, Min-Sun finally spotted a younger girl that was by herself sitting near the front of the restaurant. Min-Sun looked down at her phone before calling Han's number, watching the girl in front of her pick up the phone.
Min-Sun hung up the call quickly and walked over to the girls table. She stared up at Min-Sun and it it became clear to her why Han would have fallen head over heels for her. Her hair was long and dark, and her bangs were sculpted framing her face well. Her eyes were a beautiful lighter shade of brown, and her makeup and outfit looked like it cost more than the restaurant itself. Min-Sun instinctively looked down to her own clothes before staring at Jia feeling a little self conscious in that moment.
Jia stared at Min-Sun a second before looking her up and down and handing her the phone. Min-Sun took it and sat down on the chair in front of Jia before taking a look at Han's phone. She bit her lip already trying to figure out where in the world Han had gone.
"I tried my best to stop him, but he wouldn't listen to me." Min-Sun looked up to Jia. She looked slightly annoyed by the whole situation, but she almost looked regretful too.
"All he mentioned was that he wanted a drink." She sighed leaning back in her chair and Min-Sun raised her eyebrow in confusion.
"Doesn't this restaurant sell alcohol?" Jia looked at her with a knowing look and Min-Sun laughed sheepishly. Of course why would he want to drink in the same restaurant he got broken up in. Plus this place had to cost more than anything any of them could ever afford.
"Anyways I think I will leave you to him now, I have done enough damage...Good luck." She got up putting some money down and then headed for the front. Min-Sun watched her walk away before looking back at Han's phone. She then leaned back in the chair already exhausted from the day.
"Alright this is going to be a long night.." She sighed sitting up picking up her own phone. She started looking up the closest bars and swore.
"Why are there so many bars around here? He could have gone to any of them!" She groaned shaking her head before getting another idea.
She put the phone up to her ear listening to the dialing tone. Finally the line connected and she could hear the nagging on the other end already.
"Hey Chan! What? Yes I know I left without someone again...yes I know Hyunjin is going to beat me later but that is not important right now." She listened to Chan go on and on about how much trouble she was in but she had more pressing matters to talk about.
"Han went off the grid and left his phone with Jia and she called me because she didn't know where he went." She told him and listened as he asked questions that she didn't have the answer to.
"Chan I would love to give you more information, but that is all I have. All I know is Jia broke up with Han and he didn't take it too well so he wanted to go get a drink. I don't know where he is and there are at least 8 bars around and I can't check them all myself, so will you guys please come help me?" She listened to Chan talk with people in the background before turning his attention back to her and telling her that Jeongin and Seungmin would be heading over her way and that she needed to wait for them.
Min-Sun sat bouncing her leg up and down for a few minutes before deciding that she couldn't wait on the boys. She got up picking up her stuff and looking up the nearest bar. When she walked in she looked around for a few seconds at all the patrons before going to the bartender.
"Excuse me have you seen this man?" She showed him a picture and he paused his shaking for a second to stare at it. He nodded no apologizing and Min-Sun thanked him anyways leaving.
The same event happened at the other two bars Min-Sun went to before stepping into the the fourth one for the night. She hoped Jeongin and Seungmin would not be too upset that she didn't wait for them, but she knew she had gone too far now to beg for forgiveness.
When she walked down the stairs into the next bar, she looked around and breathed a sigh of relief finally seeing Han sitting in a booth downing a shot. His silver hair laid over his face and his suit jacket was beside him in the booth. His tie was hanging loosely around his neck and he genuinely looked like a guy who was going through a breakup.
"Han.." His name left her lips like a whisper. She couldn't believe she had actually found him. She had been worried the entire night searching for him, but now that she was standing in front of him she didn't know what to do. How was she supposed to comfort him in this situation?
"Han." She spoke up this time gaining his attention. His eyes gazed up towards her standing figure and he smiled wide seeing her there. She could see the red tinge in his eyes and the way they were slightly hazy that he was getting close to his limit.
"Angel.." He said causing Min-Sun to raise her eyebrows. He had to be at least a little drunk to be saying something like that so casual.
"Han? Are you okay?" She sat down in the booth in front of him. He waved to a waiter pointing to his glass and they nodded going to get him another drink. Han glanced back over to Min-Sun smiling.
"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?" The waiter set the cup in front of Han who slammed it back just as quickly.
"Sorry that was a dumb question. I'm not really sure what to say after Jia called me I got worried about you-" She was cut off by Han.
"Jia called you?" He sounded confused.
"She told me that you both broke up and that you disappeared without your phone.." Min-Sun spoke carefully gauging his reaction. She knew this was a sensitive topic, but she had to get to the bottom of this.
"She told me she cheated on me..not once but twice.." He laughed signaling for another drink. Min-Sun's eyes widened. Jia had looked like one of the last people she would expect to do that, but she figured she couldn't guess anything about most people in this world.
"I must have done something wrong for her to do something like that..right?" Han started to speak to himself before throwing back the next shot.
Min-Sun put out her arm to touch his. "Han. Look at me please." She spoke softly to him almost as if she were talking to a child.
Han looked back up to Min-Sun and her expression softened looking at him closer. His eyes were more red than what she thought and his hazy expression was trying hard to cover up how broken he felt.
"Han you did nothing wrong. She broke up with you because she couldn't keep doing what she was doing to you. You didn't deserve that and I think she knew it too." She tried to reason with him. If there was anything she could do it was try to convince him that this was never his fault.
"I should have done more for her..I didn't do something.." He tried to reach for his phone that was beside Min-Sun but she tugged his arm again so that his attention was back on her.
"Han she already made up her mind. You can't change her mind." He hit his lip looking frustrated at her words.
"I was a fool." His voice cracked as Min-Sun could see tears filling his eyes. Min-Sun grabbed his hand and started to rub the back of his hand with her thumb trying to show him that she was here with him.
"You were in love Han, love can make you act like a fool. " She said giving him a sympathetic smile.
"God how are you so good at this, it's like you know what I need to hear." She could hear his chuckles past his sniffling. She smiled for the first time that night finally feeling like she got a glimpse of the Han she knew.
"I-" She was cut off by a different voice this time and she slightly went pale as she looked to see who it was.
"I swear if you keep running off without one of us we will put you on a leash." Min-Sun looked over to see Jeongin and Seungmin coming in looking like they had ran a marathon.
